A drug abuser is a drug abuser.

It doesn't matter whether the drug is Cocaine, Weed, Heroin or if the person is doing Steroids.

This started because Bob Dole said he'd still take Merriman on the Cowboys, even knowing that he used steroids.

Which is no different than anyone here who would take Irvin on the Cowboys, even though he used cocaine.

Both are bad, and both end in players getting suspended, but at least Merriman is smart enough to do something that helps him and his team.

It may well have been strengthened, but mostly its bigger names getting nailed. It doesn't matter much if the 3rd string linebacker on a team gets hit for performance enhancers. It especially becomes news when multiple people on one team get nailed for things.

Bob Dole has not gone back on that. Bob Dole will take the player that Merriman has been thus far in his career over Ware - whether it is still that way with Merriman off roids remains to be seen.
