That is your opinion. He has been to 3 Pro Bowls at age 24,

I don't dismiss him having another great 10 years.
That's your opinion.
But I disagree.
Who doesn't make it back from surgery these days?
That first year he was almost unblockable at times. In my opinion he will never be as dominate as he was...so in effect his best football is behind him in my opinion. And that was my point to begin with.

While, at the same time, many feel that Ware's best football is still in FRONT of him.

There's the rub. Haven't given the pick of Ware a second thought since it went down.

Exactly my point.
Ware, I believe will only improve and flourish.

Yes, there is a connection. A lot of guys get too strong for their ligaments that hold their bones together. While their muscles get bigger and faster by steroid usage, their ligaments do not grow whatsoever. Therefore, there is a larger strain on the ligaments than was naturally intended, thus making the likelihood of injury greater.

steroids also helps your muscles heal faster

so Merriman is working at the same weights, but his ligaments and muscles aren't healing at the same rate, that they did when he was juicing, and are getting stretched to the breaking points
