Yes it's voluntary but your one of the supposed "leaders" of the defense. You should be there period. Doesn't mean you have to participate.

Told myself I would never support Jerry with money(jersey sales, etc) however Parsons was going to be one of the first jerseys I bought in a very long time. He came in and was laser focused and no nonsense but now he's honestly getting on my nerves and the Dallas cancer culture has taken root.

"Honestly, me and Zim have probably said a total of 20 words together," Parsons said. "He's a very quiet person. All I keep hearing from the coaches, 'Zim likes it [like] this' Well, I like it this way. So I can't wait to sit down with him because that would be pretty cool. Obviously, old school mindset, old school mentality. You know I think he's had a lot of great players but he ain't ever had a Micah.

Sounds like a cancer waiting to happen and I like him a lot but big ego.

Maybe he needs to take that ego to the eagles!!!

Micah likes to talk..... and talk..... and talk. I didn't like his take on Zimmer and that relationship AT ALL. it already sounds like he's stirring things up and setting the stage for a sort of battle of egos.

I think this will be a defining season for Parsons. Under Quinn his only assignment ever seemed to be rush the passer, regardless of down and distance. I think Zimmer will actually ask him to do other things. Maybe he excels but more likely I see him complaining that he can't just collect the "fancy stats" to "get his bag" or whatever the kids are saying nowadays.

Maybe it's not a lie. He admitted in the quote that he's an undersized pass rusher. It explains his late season disappearances
Season ended 5 months ago. He is not recovering from a surgery. So, this excuse is nonsensical.

He is undersized DE and I hope zimmer puts him back at LB where he belongs. The problem is that Micah wants to play DE and get paid like one. Its going to be interesting to see how Zimmer uses him and if he'll cooperate. Based on this interview, cooperation is not a given.

Micah is a great player, generational talent and ultimately when the pads go on him and the game kicks off none of these comments matter but he’s got worlds to go in terms of maturity, leadership and accountability.

That however has nothing imo with how much the cowboy should and will pay him. He’ll break the bank.
He’s not good enough to say things that could make him less valuable to the 32 NFL teams. He is not a “generational talent”. That’s an abused term to describe otherwise mindless professional athletes who are too stupid to keep their mouths shut.

He's gonna be a Cowboy regardless for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if he led the league in sacks or disappears all year. Dude is an enigma.

Pretty stupid isn't it.
Actually, stupid is doing the same thing over and expecting a different result. Jerry doesn't want to pay these guys b/c his team isn't winning playoff games, and these contracts hamstring the team.

I can assure you those comments don’t make him less valuable to other teams. And he is 1000% a generational defensive talent, even myself who can be critical of him can see that. Whether he reaches that level is up to him.

Also generalizing all professional athletes as stupid says a lot more about you than I really care to discuss. Ridiculous take.

Why would he want to do that?
It was a silly moment in the life of coog, sorry you'd never understand!! Trying to put together ego which sounds like eagle that's all (don't judge me)

I wish they’d trade him to the Eagles or Steelers so I can hate him even more than I already do. He’s such a classic babbling zoomer. He gives me the ick, in the parlance of our times, ya know

A compromisable relationship. His words. He’s absolutely setting the stage, it’s what narcissists do.

They hamstringed themselves when they paid Pollard too much and didn't sign another linebacker.
