Twitter: Micah was robbed of a sack

Parsons missed and Goff was still running. If that was a sack it should be credited to Armstrong he’s the one who tripped up Goff. Hard to tell, but Goff may have gotten past the line of scrimmage before he went down.
Did you watch the video in the tweet? Armstrong didn't even touch him. Parsons clearly got him.

I watched the video repeatedly and there’s no way due to the angle that you can tell that Armstrong didn’t touch Goff. Armstrong was the closest one to Goff. Even the game announcer said Armstrong tripped him up. Parsons missed the sack and Goff got away. The angle of the video makes it impossible to conclusively tell if Parsons ever got a piece of Goff‘s foot as he was falling. If that was ruled a sack it has to be given to Armstrong because he was the closest one to Goff. That play needs to be shown from another angle to get any real clarity on it.

Video clearly shows Micah swiping and hitting Goff's feet together which caused Goff to fall down. Armstrong did not touch Goff. It was Micah.

There isn’t anything clear in that video. If that was reviewable and that’s the only angle they had they would stay with a call on the field and Armstrong would be awarded the sack. The game announcer said Armstrong tripped Goff up. The game announcer had a better angle than the Twitter video provides.

Ugh, I created a gif and slowed it down in order to show how it was Micah who swiped and tripped Goff down for a sack. Watch closely. It is Micah's left arm/hand that grabs Goff by his left foot's ankle, swipes and trips him down. Armstrong's arms didn't even come close to touching Goff. Very clear. You and the stadium announcer are simply wrong.

It took that to see it. Lol You can’t blame a stadium announcer for missing that. In the Twitter video it’s not nearly that clear at least not viewing it on a phone.

That's an interesting rule question.

Who gets the credit? We would think it was Parsons because he tripped him up, I saw the video. However, since Armstrong did touch him last before he hit the ground, does the referee have the power to determine which player was most responsible or does it default to the last person who touched him?

On a sidenote, this tweet doesn't look good, Parsons is too good to go pandering for stats. This feels like it should be beneath him.

The sack should go towards the player who initiated the tackle or hit THAT CAUSED the QB to fall. Not the one who touched the QB last as he was falling.

In this case, the sack should be correctly given to Micah.

Honestly it’s a good problem to have. Arguing bout who got the sack our defense is balling out

now for that run defense

The cool thing is we are discussing who got the sack. This defense is a real defense.
