I couldn't care less about Texas/OU football. I don't have a college football team that I follow.

I'm just laughing at Texas homers.

Are there any pro-bowl caliber players from Florida? I can think of some from almost every other big-time program.

Florida has had some good players. I can think of a 1st ballot HOFer next year who happens to be the NFLs all time leading rusher.

Where is BigDFan5 when you need him?

There is going to be the GOAT QB coming out of Florida in the next year. He'll revolutionize the NFL. It won't matter who else Florida puts out. They'll put out Tebow. And all will rejoice.

Obviously not.

im still waiting for Dakota to back up his statement and list all of these "busts" that Texas has put out recently.

Failing to mention Roy and Kelly as starters isn't "factual."

It's misleading. Or agenda-driven.

Not including all of Oklahoma's starters in an effort to "prove" something.... ROFL.

oh noes!! I missed one starter for OU. It was an easy mistake considering Williams didnt play this year. I could have listed Vince Young as a starter also considering he lost his job because of injury and will probably be the starter again next season.

...still doesnt change the fact that Texas has twice as many NFL players as OU and twice as many starters.

And Gregg is a starter.

And according to nfl.com, Dusty Dvoracek started 12 games this year. Classify him as a starter.

That's 3. Wonder if I should keep looking stuff up....

Edit: and Chris Chester started 11 games this season.

then I guess I should consider Tim Crowder, Jamaal Charles, Kasey Studdard, Vince Young, and Brian Robison as starters since they have started some games.

again, it doesnt matter anyway. You completely missed the point, which is not suprising.

That you lied in an effort to make UT look better?

No. Didn't miss that at all.

Chester started 11 games; Gregg HAS BEEN STARTING FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS AND IS A STARTER, Dvoracek started 12... that's a significant portion of time spent as a starter. For comparison's sake, I didn't include Brandon Jones (started 7 games, less than 50%).

And checking your list... Crowder didn't start one game. More lying? BIG surprise. Charles started 2 games. That's not regular starting. That's spot starting. Big difference starting 11/12 games versus 2. I could keep going....

Calm down boys

Can't we put down the Big 12 hate and all agree that USC is the biggest bust school?

We all hate the Trojans, right?

you need some help with reading comprehension

this isnt a Texas OU comparison anyway. I listed OU to give something to compare and contrast, but that isnt the point. There are twice as many UT players in the NFL regardless if they are starting or not. If I compared Longhorns to Gators, it would be worse.

anyway, the point was responding to someone falsely stating that UT produces more busts than most programs. Im still waiting for someone to back that statement up and provide some examples of Longhorn busts over the past 10 or 12 seasons.

Gotcha.

someone finally provides a list. thank you lol

Ricky Williams is a disappointment, but not a "bust". He led the NFL in rushing a couple of times

Chris Simms was the last player drafted in the 3rd round so the expectations are different. He did lead Tampa Bay to a division title as a starter. Simms was a disappointment but I dont see how he's a "bust"...and the verdict is still out on him.

Benson was heading towards Bustville last season until he got picked up by the Bungels and Benson blew up a couple of teams at the end of the year. He is probably a bust right now though.

as far as Young, the verdict is obviously still out on him. He had a disappointing season this past year. Even so, he won offensive rookie of the year, made a pro bowl, and has a winning record at the QB position. I dont see how he could be considered a "bust" at this point. It's way too early.

Mike Williams was a bust, and so was Marcus Tubbs. Huff and Benson are driving towards Bustville but they can still turn it around. That is pretty much it when it comes to Longhorn busts over the past 10 years.....hardly "the most overhyped busts in the country".

Oakland, where careers go to die. How did dude fall off so bad?? He was a beast in college! I hate to be presumptuous but a change in scenery might really be what he needs. Either he flat out sucks or the coaching was that bad.

Huff is still very young. The Cowboys and Parcells really liked him coming out of Texas. Perhaps, he just needs a new start. The Raiders are dysfunctional.

Perhaps, he could come to the Cowboys' dysfunction and turn it around. He'll get a shot from someone. They will line up for him. He's sill young.

I wish the Cowboys would have drafted him, but he went # 7. I would trade Barbie and others for him.
