Choice for Colston I'd maybe consider. No way for Meachum. Choice is the real deal. For me, and it's just my opinion, it would take a big time player to convince me to let Choice go. A Calvin Johnson or a Dwayne Bowe, we can talk business. Anything less, forget it . Don't even bother me with it. And I really believe the team that received Choice from us might be the winner in the trade. I think that much of Choice. I think he's the best back on the team and should be starting next year. Let Barber mop up at the end of the game and break the opponents' will. And let Felix dazzle us every three or four plays.

I love running backs.

Really I do, they're my favorite part of the game.

And I just don't see anything about Choice on the field that makes him better than alot of other guys. He has good leadership qualities but he is a slightly-above-average RB. Choice for Meachem? I might consider it.

Let the hate commence, go easy on me guys!

Meachem has not been a bust, matter in fact he is a highly touted prospect. In his rookie year he tore his acl in training camp. He came back last year and in the preseason he dominated. He made such an oppression they considered dumping Lance Moore. When the season rolled around Sean Payton decided to ease him back in and made him the 5th reciever. The other four recievers on that team didnt let Meacheum on the field due to their play. Colston, Patton, Henderson, and Lance Moore all played exceptional. In addition, they had Shockey to boot at tight end. Not many footballs to go around espically since Reggie Bush catches 50-60 balls out of the backfield. When Colston was injured Meacheum got in some and had several nice games. One was against the Commanders.

Choice for Meacheum(I suggested this too a couple months ago to ask NO what they wanted for Meacheum) makes sense for both teams. IMO, three healthy running backs are too many. Remember last year when they couldnt even get Felix on the field and to add another one to the mix is ridculus. The trade is fair.

Choice is worth at least a second at this time.

Like an earlier poster said I would Consider Carp or Ellis plus a low draft pick for Meachem. better yet, how about Carp plus Stanback or Hurd for him.
At this point, Hurd is better than Meachem

IMO, Barber is more expendable than Choice.

Choice reminds me of Emmitt.....he is the most complete back we have, pass protection is excellent, he is a better receiver out of the backfield than Barber, and he is a better North/South Runner.

Barber definitely runs with purpose and brings the wood to defensive players. However, his style does not lead to good health. He has also become somewhat of a fumbler.

While, I wouldn't want to trade either of them, cause I like the prospect of our 3 headed attack, if I had to choose one of the two to trade, it would be Barber.

Still, to gain Barber, another team better gives us more than some scrub like Meachem.

I don't know about that.

I don't think so.

Meachem runs a 4.3, and he doesn't get caught from behind.

He just needs to get out of New Orleans. He was an All-American at Tennessee, and he has LeRon Landry on his belt.

Robert Meachem is 24 years old.

The Saints, imo, have given up on him already. They can either deal him or watch his value plummet like Carpenter's.

When Meachem arrived at Tennessee, he had big expectations. He didn't live up to those expectations until year 3. He became an All-American. He came out early, and he should have stayed in school. I think coming out early hurt him.

If the right team gets a hold up him, look out. He was a late bloomer at Tennessee.

Frankly, I wish the Cowboys would look into getting him.

I would take Meachem for Bobby straight up..are you kidding me? Meachems talent is still wating to be unleashed and provides speed to this offense. The guy has had the worst luck to start his career. It's a no-brainer to me.

Exactly, I would rather take my chances with Olgetree than trade away Choice for a speed receiver that is a bust.

If he truly is available, I would certainly look into trading for Meachem.

That said, trading Choice is out of the question.

I think he has the best skillset of all three Dallas running backs.

The Saints run a 4-3, Carpenter's best chance would probably come in a WLB role there.

Trading one disappointing 1st round draft pick for another would allow both teams to save a bit of face.

Lombardi, you genius!

I'm sure everyone else across the league would gladly trade a 1st round bust for a 4th round stud at a needed position, too.

Love how everyone seems to think just because we have 3 good RBs we're dying to give one of them away...
