And so it begins.

Cowboys plan to bring Michael Sam to Dallas for a physical Wednesday, per team source. If all goes well, Sam will be a Cowboy.

To be clear, Dallas would like to sign Michael Sam to practice squad, not active roster. First things first. Physical Wednesday.

Practice squad my eye.. The kid can play let him play, Its better then the junk we have n defense who cares about circus crap its the Jerrys world and its his cowboys. I hope the kid gets a shot to play and not sits on a practice squad just for Jerrys PR machine, GO GET THEM SAM !!!!~

seems like a no brainer to me. he's a prototypical 4-3 DE and has ACTUALLY produced in the preseason, which is more than I can say for a few other players that were "gifted" a roster spot

all for it, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get meaningful snaps sometime soon

This is a really bad idea. We don't need a slow undersized attention ***** in Dallas.

He produced in college. They said he wouldn't translate to the NFL. He produced in preseason. They say it'll stop when the games count.

I say let's give him the opportunity to fail instead of assuming he will. All he's done so far is succeed.

Rare like from me, Señor. Enjoy it...but remember I can just as easily take it away as I gave it.

Serious question?

Did Michael Sam produce those sacks against 1s/2s or was it all guys that are talking up their NFL career to their girlfriends?

He produced sure, but was his competition?

I was going to say... I remember Junior Glymph or whoever it was getting three or four sacks in one game in preseason and getting cut.

Guess everyone was biased against him.

It looks like a done deal. How soon before they call him up to the active roster? I'm guessing Saturday.

Seriously. Does anybody really want to see Jeremy Mincey out there versus Mike Iupati on a stunt?

Honest question; do people really read that kind of stuff? I couldn't care less about stories about player's showering habits like ESPN reported on last week. We all only have a certain amount of time each day to read articles and I can be picky on what I read. I'd rather learn something about the game or a player's on-field ability rather than if Michael Sam is a distraction or not.
You are not the average NFL fan that only know about big name players.

Good. Let's see if he can play. If not, churn him. I would rather find out if he can play than see another tam try. Guys who can get to the QB are extremely valuable. If he can do that in either part time or starting role, those guys are typically hard to find. Look at Jerry's record trying to find a rusher when Haley retired in a 4-3 defense. It was not as bad as after Aikman but it was pretty bad. I just hope we don't need to wait 8 years for Ou next pressure player after Ware.

Not saying he is a starting caliber player but I like using all resources trying to uncover pressure players.
