Well Donte Stallworth got suspended a whole year for DUI manslaughter, and Brent got 10 games. With Jerry, nothing is unreasonable.

The talent of the defensive like is about as poor as it's been in nearly 20 years. How can Dallas possibly be picky trying to avoid a "media circus"? From all accounts Sam has good character and has gone out of his way to make teammates comfortable.

The media is the media. They will always be there, particularly when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys. So instead of hearing about Romo being a choker, Dez being a malcontent or the defense being among the all-time worst, the lead story will now be about Sam. Big deal. The media will always have their angles when it comes to this team. This is just a different one to add to the pot.

Either the guy can play or he can't. We will see. Maybe we get lucky here. Or maybe not. But it's a solid football move to take a look.
