Anyone who can get some pressure is welcome, if the numbers aren't misleading.

I watched him play. You can see why he was the SEC defensive player of the year while being a 7th round pick.

He doesn't have very good measurables. He's not incredibly explosive off the ball either. But, he has a very good motor and is pretty good at getting his body at a low angle. He's not as good as a Robert Mathis at doing that, but he's pretty good at it. So, I could see him giving college O-Linemen fits and any time you have a good motor that can account for a few sacks.

After watching him, I really thought he was a Rod Marinelli type of player.

I posted on this earlier. I actually like this move. As a 1st round or 1st day or even 4th round pick, I didn't want him. As a possible PS candidate, the situation is a good one IMO. He needs to be coached up and he needs to learn how to be a contributor in other areas and the PA could provide him with the opportunity for that.

The media attention on him should not be great and I don't see him as a distraction for the team, under those conditions but if it becomes to disruptive, then you simply release him at very little cost and bring in another player that can be developed.

Best possible situation for both sides IMO.

He's not going to see the 53, so he's not going to help with that short supply, he will only bring more attention that has nothing to do with football.

He's not going on the 53 right away, but who's to say he doesn't get called up before Sunday?

Perhaps a distraction is just what the FO is looking for.

I think Rick Gosselin is a fool much of the time, but this morning he was saying he thought that sensational ESPN Jerry Football story was planned by Jerry to generate buzz and take the focus off his football team because he knows it's not a good team. People wondered why in the world Jerry would agree to such an inside look at his life... That would explain it.

So who knows, you may have hit on it. This could be to keep us relevant, just as Jerry said Manziel would do.

For those who say that couldn't be true and this is strictly about football, remember that Will McClay said weeks ago he didn't think Sam was a fit for this defense.

I guess he let Jerry borrow the reins on this one.

And who's to say he will? He's not that good, the only reason why he is getting this attention is because of the media who doesn't care about football.

What is it about this attention that you find so terrifying? Who cares what the media does, it doesn't matter.

People wondered why Jerry would participate in an exercise where he is the center of attention in front of a national audience?

Jerry can't help himself. Irvin was asking on his twitter about the Cows signing him, I wonder if he's using his influence over jones?

I hope he doesn't go to wwe "raw" Monday night.

And on the plus side Jerry can go with him next Monday for his WWE appearance.

Subscribe to my way of thinking?

You said Jerry Jones is ruining this football team by signing a guy to the practice squad.

You didn't say that about any of the other practice squad signings, and none of them have shown anything more than Michael Sam.

It's obvious.

That's right, Jerry Jones is ruining my favorite team, not just because of this move, but this is just another example of him bringing the circus into town rather than making football moves. The other practice squad signings don't have the entire media begging for them to get a job because of non football issues.

BTW, this is occurring after Bryan Broaddus said it wouldn't.

Why people think he's some inside source is beyond me.

Mostly because Broaddus is good friends with McClay and he's the source of his information.

Everyone is wrong from time to time, but Broaddus has been right more often than not.

@Chocolate Lab is probably right on this one, Jerry probably excused McClay from the room on this one.
