One guy even says we are a trash organization if he's not starting soon.
Hey, hey, hey!
Enough of that!
I'll let you know that this can be a trash organization even if he's not starting soon!
One guy even says we are a trash organization if he's not starting soon.
It is not up to you...or I...or anyone else on this forum...unless Jerry or other members of the Dallas Cowboys FO are posting here under different user names.
Well I said it. Don't like it?
Sue me
Papers are in the mail, when I win the lawsuit I will demand more pictures of the good looking lady in your sig
This is literally the first time I've ever heard people say no to signing a guy on the practice squad.
We talkin' about practice squad. Not a game, not a game, not a game. We talkin' about practice squad. What are we talkin' about?! Practice squad? We talkin' about practice squad, man!
You guys seem to have incredibly high standards for him for some reason. If he can hold the point of attack and not get blown off the ball while getting a few pressures a game, he is better than a lot of the guys that have started for the this team over the years. Get over all the other stuff and just cross your fingers that he can just stop the run. I keep hearing so many false arguments...Has Spencer or Greg Ellis ever played special teams. If this guy is Greg Ellis or Ekubahn or Selvie, its an absolute steal.
Let's also add Shante Carver and Kavika Pittman and get the band back together.
If Sam plays one down for the Cowboys then all the arguing, craziness will be moot because the Cowboys will have admitted that he was better then most of the street free agents that they brought in.
I'm laughing here because the Cowboys have so many guys who probably don't even belong on an NFL squad and everyone is going crazy over someone who is not yet on the 53 man roster.
Nick Hayden - is there an explanation necessary
Terrell McClain - 1 career sack
Rolondo McClain - retired twice from the NFL and he was traded for a 6th round pick.
The two defensive ends that were referenced already.
Jeff Heath
Tyler Patmon
Sterling Moore
I could go on, but what is the point. It's hilarious!!
I really have a hard time seeing the downside in this. It's the practice squad. A place where a guy doesn't count against the active roster and gives us a chance to check and see what he can do. Pretty simple, if he doesn't have what it takes he will be gone in a short time.
As far as Westbrooks, a lot of us liked him in the draft....seemed like a no brainer to be honest. However St Louis kept him so he isn't an option. I have looked at almost all of the cut lists and there really isn't much else out there that fits the PS as a pass rusher. So Sam isn't keeping us from bringing someone in.
Meanwhile, the cowboys added an undersized nose guard in college to play fullback. No one seems to be suggesting that its some sort of crime to add him with the idea that he might be able to help the team at some point.
Has this fullback had a press conference for being a member of the practice squad?
Press conference is a daily event in which Garrett talked about adding Sam to the PS and did not say all that much about it and there is nothing being reported today about it. Cowboys seem to be talking 49ers and not Sam
Has Nikita Whitlock been given a press conference?
They announced he was put on the PS that is how the media knew Whitlock was signed, yesterday presser was not only about adding Sam to the roster other things were talked about. Players seem to be acting like adults I wish our fans were. Dallas added a PS player name of Michael Sam he is here to workout and develop and all players on the team seem to be fine with that only issues seems to be some fans. Meantime all the talk today is on the 49ers as they are getting ready for the game.
You don't know that every player is okay with it, if they say one word about not thinking it's a good idea to have Michael Sam on the team, they would be thrown out of the league.
Despite what some may call distractions, Cowboys Pro Bowl running back DeMarco Murray says it just part of wearing the star on his helmet.
“It would only be mind-boggling if you’re not strong enough to handle it,” Murray said. “We know what’s at stake. We know that we wear the star so we’re always watched. Just got to be man enough and mature enough to handle the situation. We know what’s at stake. We know we’re focused on the 49ers. Everything else really doesn’t matter.”
What was Murray’s reaction when he found out the Cowboys were signing Sam?
“It was just like my reaction to when they sign other practice squad guys,” Murray said. “It’s not a big deal. If he’s here to help us win then you treat him like any other guy. It doesn’t matter.”

And Murray probably means what he said, good for him and I like his attitude, what's your point?
and you don't know they are not. I go by what they say not what a fan who is not in that locker room is claiming. Sam teammates at Mizz knew he was and did not affect anything despite being young college kids they evidently were mature enough to deal with it. I hate that our fans are not mature enough to deal with it
