my point is, if the other team scores, our O needs to come out and answer, They need to do it again, and again and again. Denver is the only game where this team showed creativity, urgency, and a will to win on Offense. The other 5 losses were the usual garbage.

Then, in my opinion, your point is flawed. No team scores on every possession and it is completely unrealistic to ever expect it.

If your defense can't force stops, they're not doing their jobs.

An offense shouldn't be expected to score on every possession.

top rated passing because most of it comes when the game is already out of hand.

How can you say that? Just lying for the sake of lying? How many times has this offense put up stats with games out of hand this year? Please enlighten me with your "facts".

Except, Romo did score. THREE TIMES.....Only Romo gets blamed for a loss when he throws for 3TDs and no turnovers when the team may have one of the worst D's in NFL history. Our offense scored 4TDs. They did their job.

if you stare at the numbers long enough....Dallas should have been alot better team for past 10 years. But unfortunately that's not how the game of football works. Its more about timeliness and do players elevate their game in critical situations. Romo problems have NEVER been about his numbers. Its about how nobody really seems elevate their game around him in december. If you watch QBs like Brady, Manning, Brees you get the sense the QB is running the show. I don't get that sense watch Romo. I see more of a QB working within a system who doesn't carry enough weight to the point that other players feel obligated to rally around him.

17-14 2nd qtr right before the half.

Romo hits witten in the hands for what would have been 8 yards. He drops the ball.
2nd down, murray instead of sitting down keeps drifting so romo leads him and murray stops and ball goes over his head.
third down, romo hits Williams in the hands on a curl for what would have been 8 yards. He drops the ball.

we punt, our defense does what it does, 24-14.

Romo made one bad play all night and that was the deep throw to dez. Babe said on the radio he had no idea what route dez was running and it was a mess. So I imagine romo was a little curious what he was doing also. BTW this is still happening a bunch with 88.

Then the head coach on a critical fourth down across the 50 elects to punt.

Drew brees defense last year was not this bad and he didn't make the playoffs and barely won 8 games.

Its not the qb. We simply have a horrendous defense and a horrendous coaching staff. Then you throw in a mistake or two from each player and this thing has no chance.

We need a real front office person to come in and build an organization here.

btw, Instead of Dallas playing Washington in two weeks they should just let Jerry and Snyder wrestle in a ring at the 50. I think that would be more appropriate.

Last night was by no means a signature game for Romo. He could have played better, for sure. But no one's takeaway from the game was, or should have been, "if only Romo played better..."

Our inability to drive the ball at the end of the half bit us in a major way. It got us zero points, and then put Chicago in position to score. Who was that on? Witten had a first-down drop. Romo had a second-down throw that was errant, in large part because it appeared Murray drifted on the route. Then the contested third-down throw to Williams that probably should have been caught, but wouldn't have picked up a first down anyway.

That, and the drive where we started at midfield but had to punt were our offense's major failures of the night, IMO. We needed something on both possessions and instead barely even moved the ball either time.

Sadly, in truth, scores on those possessions probably wouldn't have even mattered. Our defense is that bad right now.

The offense lacks urgency and good scheme.

We rely wayyyy too much on Romo buying time and making a play.

With that said the roll out to Witten was a great play and it's about time we see the playcall itself get the TD for us.

It's just a mess and we need to find a quality coach to fix it. It wouldn't hurt if we fired the GM that hires guys like Monte Kiffin.

I was utterly shocked by that play all. So were the Bears. So was every single defense in the league.

You could put the 1988 49ers Offense on this team and it would not be able to score enough to overcome this ridiculous defense...

When will everyone lay the blame for this disaster exactly where it belongs, in the lap of Jerry "I am doing the best job as GM I ever have" Jones?

It was Jones' senile rear end that hired another senile individual to lead this mess that is being called a defense...

Watch that throw to Murray again....I don't care whether he sits down in the flat or not he isn't catching that ball. Neither is Dez. I am not blaming Romo for the loss when the defense couldn't stop a lingerie football team (no offense to lingerie football, at least they tackle), but he was just as complicit as anyone, he stunk yesterday as was the rest of his team.

I'm a big supporter of Romo. Problem is, he's not playing well. But it, IMO, is nothing but scheme and lack of identity and rhythm. A QB needs to get into a rhythm. If he isn't, and the offense is forcing irregular behavior, then it comes as no surprise the QB will sail passes over the head of WRs when they have a chance downfield. It's boom or bust with Romo since Garrett.

I agree with all of this but the thing I don't like about Romo is we paid him a ton of money and now he is out there just trying to manage the game.

I want to see the Cowboys be aggressive like we were against Denver and not just take what the defense gives us and protect the ball.

If the Cowboys get down multiple scores Romo is our only chance but we still play like our defense will get stops and when we do that we usually go down 3 scores and it's over.

ok so even if the murray throw is on him, the play before was an 8 yard completion to witten who just dropped the ball.

I imagine on 2nd and 2 murray gets a first down and the whole sequence changes.

You have to wonder if Romo is healthy. He's never been this gun shy, he's always been a "gunslinger". This year, he looks more like Alex Smith.

The guy is on/near pace for a career high in TDs. Just because he isn't throwing INT's doesn't mean he's playing like Alex Smith.

but that is not on romo, they built the whole offseason around limiting the offense and being more careful.

garrett started off aggressive playing to romos strengths and has backed away from each and every year. The head coach has no balls and it has trickled down all over the team.

if sean payton or mike McCarthy coached romo he would be slinging it all over the place.

That is why brees is who he is, he makes a ton of mistakes but they never ask him to stop taking chances.

in the Americas team 1986 giants edition, simms tells the story of how parcells cornered him before going onto the field and told him if you don't throw a couple of interceptions today it means your not doing enough.....simms said parcells empowered him to throw the ball down the field and be aggressive and it was huge for his psyche....

garrett has done the opposite.....

but there is only 3 more weeks of that thankfully. We will have to see who zimmer hires to run the offense for him

Oh man. I knew things like this were coming. I couldn't wait till today to find what ways people tried to pin this on the guy who has NOTHING to do with the 45 points, 33 first downs, and zero punts that the defense was just giving away like candy last night.

Newsflash for Romo. You better go to the Lord and BEG him to make you a God because it's the only way you can win with this pathetic defense. You need to be the first guy to play QB and all 11 positions on D.

Do you really think even Jerry is dumb enough to try to sell his consumers on Mike Zimmer as head coach?

No jab, just an honest question?

110% without question.

I fully expect a press conference two days after the bengals get beat by the ravens or whoever at home announcing the hiring of zimmer.

and I bet zimmer brings his son in some sort of big defensive role.

I am curious to see what happens in Detroit. I really like scott linehan.

in a perfect world we would get an old school in charge type as head coach and a guy like linehan as OC and hopefully a high end dc.

but that is not going to happen. We are going to get zimmer because he can work with jerry because he has done it before.

Then it will officially be the campo years again.

Have to stop with this it's everyone fault but Romo. said Romo was bad too last night.(which is true) im sick and tired of him taking a dive when a D-Linemen gets anywhere near him.i was shock to hear Fisher say this.he is one of the main Romo supporters.the main problem with this team is Jerry Jones. but make no mistake about this.this pitiful defense and Romo and this offense are part of the problem. what a mess.

You make no sense here and Fisher sounds like an idiot. Who the F is he anyway????????????????? You want to come anywhere close to winning a game? Try forcing the opposing team to punt once or twice. You and Mr. Fisher need some riggin' tape this morning. Good grief...there is a lot of dumb in Dallas today!

That would keep Jerry nice and comfy if he hired Zimmer.

Heck we'd probably bring back some of those former Cowboys turned Bengals.

Having Jerry as our GM is so disappointing.
