Shouldn't be much of an adjustment for you.

I was thinking it might be pretty hard for bob to bring his posts up to that level to be honest.

I really hope Mike doesn't have that bad of an injury, especially one that wipes clean all the hard work he's done this offseason and in training camp. Here's to nothing too serious and a full recovery by at least October (whatever the injury may be).

Any word on Terence Newman? I read something about a groin pull? UGH.

Edit: Nvm, just read page 9.

Did you have to look it up?

I know I couldn't remember and that's my point.

Jenkins has until Sept 20th to really be back at 100%.

Until then, Scandrick can play RCB and Ball can play in the slot in preseason or against the Bucs IMO.

My guess is when they go 3 CBs, Scandrick would slide into the slot and Ball would play outside.

I thought Newman fixed these issues by strengthening his non-dominant leg. Oh well. . .

From listening to Wade's comments, Newman's "injury" doesn't seem like much of an injury. He said Newman could have practiced today, if they wanted him to.

We'll see what happens, but from the sounds of things, Newman and Jenkins could both be fine next week.

Some here evidently have never played a position in sports where the legs are key. While TNew has had injury problems he played through much of them which is why he has had problems now especially with his legs. He over compensates and in turn his overcompenstaion can cause injuries itself. While yes he missed significan time with injuries but I blame the hernia on the medical staff for misdiagnosis. If they would have caught the hernia last year in training camp instead of callingit a groin pull or strain T New would have missed maybe 1 game.

the fact that this newman injury happened in punt return drills irritates me to no end.

sounds like Terence Newman needs to do some yoga or something to get more limber.

When has Newman missed the whole season with an injury? Or is it two seasons Stanback has missed?

He was out or playing injured to the point of affecting his play on the field all of last year except for maybe 2 games. Is that close enough to a year or does he actually have to miss all 16 games in order to be considered injury "sensitive"?

True. I think Silverbear mentioned Stanback having injuries from being overlymuscled and though I don't think that is his problem, I do believe it's Newman's problem. He muscled up a lot when he hit the NFL and I believe that's where most of his problems are stemming from. He's been injured a lot recently and I hope that he can get that problem fixed. He's a class act and a terrific talent (when healthy) and I would hate to lose him.

Newman bulked up his upper body. All of his injuries have been in his legs.

I think the point is, that when Newman is out we lose more games than when he is playing healthy. I remember a couple of games, where he was playing after coming back from injuries and even than it hurt the win-loss record.
To me it is like putting Emmitt Smith on the field the last 2 years he was here, when it would have been better to let up a bit. Or to me, it would be the same as playing Newman at CB in the 4th Quarter of the 4th preseason game and getting him injured. Just some more stupid coaching!
