he is an old school guy who was with wade and reeves. The guy has seen it all and has been everything from a head coach to a wr coach in the nfl.

he is a great hire and especially if they bring more people of his background on his staff.

if I remember correctly he wanted to wear the suit in SF because of his admiration of Tom Landry.

he has always been aggressive. I think his time in baltimore made him more aggressive.

fun fact also this will be his third defensive coordinator job in the NFC east.

I heard on NFL Network that Kellen Moore was basically part of the package McCarthy had to except.

And so it begins again same thing as Phillips/Garrett

it would be great if Lewis was the dc and nolan was the linebackers coach. That would really be the start of a good staff

why would Nolan make a lateral move ? no way he could stay with a better team and staff..he wont leave unless its for a promotion as his contract also prohibits a lateral move..

would depend on who is the DC if he isn't. he could have multiple titles here under a coordinator like Lewis.

Lewis could be hired as assistant head coach and nolan as DC. The only thing there is no way jerry is paying lewis for that type of that job.

As long as McCarthy is OK with it and it was not forced upon him.

I'd be shocked if Moore is not retained as OC. But pleasantly surprised if McCarthy is allowed to pick his own staff.

as much as I dont want that to happen, MM can teach KM further in the offseason and they can blend their schemes.. KM did finish with the #1 offense and yes I know it was mostly padded against bad teams but they all count.. 113 point differential etc Im sure MM can work with that and again give his input on changes etc..

I mean KM is a lot more up to date with todays NFL offenses and might be a good protégé for McCarthy..

actually hes been known to pay his assistants well close to the same or moore then the HC in some cases.. didnt he give Garett a huge raise to stay as OC , there were others I cant Remember off hand....im not worried about money as jerry spends plenty..
