Tough to see us winning that one. Minnesota can run as well as anyone in football, they're just now remembering that they can pass, and they might have the best non-Hoodie defense in the league. They're definitely a Super Bowl caliber team. Our last two games vs NFC heavyweights were both losses, and the Packers game wasn't as close as it looked.

no idea what will happen but playing at home is huge. This team at home with a lead can play with anyone. Playing from behind they are not very good and never seem to complete comebacks outside of a few games vs philly in the Dak era.

Playing from behind vs minnesota is a recipe for disaster. Controlling the clock and playing with a lead and the crowd helping the defense is the way for this team to win.

I guess it is expected that the Cowboys will/should beat the lowly Giants. *Cough* just like the Jets *Cough*.
If/when that happens, the game against the Vikings will be telling for this team.
We have shown that we can beat mediocre teams but have struggled against playoff caliber teams.
Losing to Minnesota will only highlight this shortcoming.
It will also be a signal to Jerry that Garrett needs to be replaced at seasons end because he just isn't cutting it, so that's a positive.

This is a LOSS....Minn Defense will make our offense look like a college team.

I agree with you. A loss against Minny would cement the narrative that Cowboys rarely beats good teams.

Theles game said the opposite of the Jets game, so who knows what this team is? We could lose to the Giants, then beat the Pats. Looks like we will be on the road again in the playoffs after one round if we get that far. So probably we are pretty much the same team as last year.

Agreed, its time to beat someone that is playing well.

The MIN, DET, BUF, CHI and PHL games will tell us how they stack up against teams on their own tier. LAR and NE will tell us how they are against better teams on the higher tier. This NYG game will tell us how they are against a team on the lower tier and a set up for a tough schedule run.

Recent history has not been good for the Cowboys when it comes to the Vikings. The Vikes have beat us 7 of the last 10 times we have played; however, we have won the last two meetings in a row.

Minnesota could be a good gauge. Really because there is only 16 of them all games are telling. All games are important. Fully healthy the Cowboys can beat anyone. Also the Cowboys have proven they can lose to anyone. They need more Michael Irvin types on this team. Emotional & fearless leaders.

Vikings are very balanced run vs pass with weapons at all positions, add great defense and good coaching an you have tough team to beat..

so they will be a challenge to say the least and if we win it will show we have improved..first beat the giants or that one will not matter no looking ahead

They beat the Skins, Lions, Cards, Raiders, Egals & Falcons. These teams with great or undefeated records have played absolutely NOBODY. It's been a weird season for such.

The Egals have the "3rd easiest schedule in the league". Can you imagine if they had to play the Aints & Rams?!

Once the playoffs start, some of these teams true colors will be unveiled.

As always, I feel my concern vs Vikings is solely on the defense.
They have a stout defense, but I’m confident we can score 24 points on them. Can our defense hold them below that?

No way we can or should need to score over 30 per game to win. 24 points should defeat the Giants, Vikings, Lions, Bills, Bears, Eagles, and Skins.

With the Patriots and Rams, who knows? But we will be fine in every game if the offense scores 24 and the defense at lest shows up.....we can’t afford for the defense to crap the bed. Our offense may score more than 24, but if you “need” more to win the games above, it’s a very bad sign and asking for trouble.
