I think the Seahawks may have the best starting safties in the history of the NFL.

don't know about history...but yes, they are pretty stellar...
Sorry but this is a team game and Unger and Harvin are huge. Without Rice they are lacking a lot of receiving threats. That 83 is pretty fast but not exceptionally skilled, the TE is pretty good but not a game changer. Harvin gives underneath coverage fits and Unger is key to their inside power runs.

What youre saying is like akin to saying that only Romo and Murray matter if Fred and Dez got hurt.

Maybe...but when you run like they are running tonight, most things will work. The backups get paid too...

We need speed on the defensive line, Wilson is going to run around back there like a grown up playing keep away with kids.

Folks can say RW is a bus driver all they want...WHATEVER....He's on the verge of being one of the top QB's in the NFL....

Hard to disagree with any of that..... He seems to Bus driver whenever they ask him, but makes the big plays when it calls for it. Very patient player. Seems to always know when to and not to run.

That isn't blocking in the back. I don't think you can have blocking in the back from linemen. Now a hold probably could have been called.
Yes, linemen can block in the back. But they won't call it if they were already engaged. He wasn't engaged immediately before hitting him from behind.

Oddly enough it was a block in the back that then turned into a hold. No idea how they let that stuff happen right there in plain sight. Obvious as can be.

Liked the game. Seattle wins but took plenty of shots along the way. Loved it

He was engaged with him nearly the whole play.

that is not even the cliche. The cliche is that "the other team gets paid too."

In almost all cases the backups are worse than the starters and in the age of parity that fall off is typically significant.

Without Harvin they are a very mediocre as a receiving corps. Unger is one of the best C in the game over the past half dozen years.

Further, the read option is giving Commanders defenders fits which is ironic considering their QB. Nevertheless they are overpursuing and constantly out of position. T

Have anything other than the wrong cliche to make a point with?

The point is...if you don't stop the run, you ain't stopping anything. When you are running at nearly 7 yds a pop, en route to about 250, you don't need pro bowl receivers at every position. They certainly got by without Harvin last year. The Giants did not have an awesome receiving corp when they derailed Dallas under Phillips...they ran the ball and played great defense...it was rather sufficient don't you think?

2008 Burress, Smith, Toomer and Boss are a hell of a lot better than what the Seattle have without Harvin and Miller right now. Smith in particular was excellent until a degenerative knee condition. They also had Shaun O'Hara who is an excellent analog of Unger.

The Seachickens had Rice and Tate last year. Miller will also be out next week.

Are you even going to address the poor discipline of the Commanders front 7?
