Mo Claiborne?

So somehow the secondary is still getting spanked without the scapegoat Mo. Maybe we should actually invest in a pass rush instead of rotating corners in and out.

I doubt both are here. if Carr sticks, it will be at a reduced salary.

Claiborne i'd be shocked to see go. He's still under contract. I think they want to see how he bounces back after this year of injury. Carr....his salary is gonna have him either getting cut or a pay cut but with his play.......he's probably a goner.

Doubtful it'll be a pay cut. I think many of the top picks come with fully guaranteed deals.

Claiborne's salary is guaranteed for 2015. He'll be on the team.

No, he is unlikely to have made a difference in this game.

Can he be a good 3rd CB next season? Maybe.

I expect Carr to be cut. His 2015 salary is 8M. They can replace him with a better and lower cost free agent, IMO.

A better low cost free agent ? Lol really ? We need to find some guys in the draft that can cover. But Im tired of drafting these bust corners.

Bring in 3 dominant DL and we can probably have Oscan, Moore and Payton back there. Then we can possibly bring in some mid round corners or a vet with thread. We need a pass rush. It will create a trickle effect just like the oline did.

They don't need to go into the draft with a replacement for Carr in place. They'll be drafting in the twenties. There is no guarantee that a CB that can start as a rookie will be available.

Obviously, they need to draft a CB (or two), but if they cut Carr they need to replace him with a free agent that can get the job done while the rookie develops. If the rookie is ready for game 1 then great, but they can be dependent on that happening.

The LOL would be to assume that they can get a rookie starting CB in the draft.

Who is Payton?

That's something I've expressed concern with as far back as last season that it appeared he simply was not a student of the game and had no interest in becoming one.
When you don't have elite athleticism and/or instincts on the field- then you aren't going to have a great career without the benefit of study.

And he is having a far cry from sniffing a great career as it is.

I wonder what his position coach preaches to him and how he implements his coaching techniques upon Mo...

He seems like a guy who needs someone to constantly be on him- pushing him to go that extra few miles yet walk that fine line between being productive and obnoxious about it.
Something I'm sure just about every NFL positional coach has no time to conduct on a single player who might not even respond, but I feel that may be the only way to unlock the potential buried deeper than the Oak Island treasure in this guy.

You just can't get through to some guys. We saw on Hard Knocks way back when how the TE coach was riding MartyB and it just didn't work.

Having said that, maybe they should have benched him a long time ago like Belicheck did to the young RB that was late for a meeting recently.

Carr is past whatever prime he briefly had.

Carr was never that great which is one reason KC let him walk. He gave up at least one of the big plays to Miles Austin during his franchise record 250 yards vs KC back in 09.

Move Mo Claiborne to FS. A lot of people thought that was gonna be his best position in the pros anyway. Try and salvage the draft choice. Because we have already seen he can't play CB.

The problem is he sucks in coverage, he's not going to be a good FS. CBs that transition well into FS were good coverage CBs that didn't fear contact, for instance, Rod Woodson and Charles Woodson.

Well I bring up pay cut because i'm not sure if it would give the Cowboys more money in the long run to give him a pay cut or just out right cut him and have it eat up your salary next season. But I don't know how much it will cost against the cap to do either.

Who is Payton?

Meant to say Patmon. Those 3 are our best bet to start next year. I doubt no one in FA can actually help this team, maybe a Revis. But then our hopes would be too great for him. Our best bet is to fix the dline.

If you are strictly referring to CB (which I think you are) there are some out there who will be able to step in and help us. Let's just hope their teams are willing to let them walk.

Name some ? Most those guys I see out there have already been torch before.
