Steve says he can still wrestle but he had the same surgery as Edge..it is plausible he might not be able to get medically cleared. Although Cena and Angle both wrestle now with neck issues so who knows?

Austin has not changed one bit since he was a regular on WWE..not one bit. He just has not aged at all...

Favorite wrestler of all time.. when his music hit, i was outta my seat haha.

I like Austin..I saw him when he first came up right there from the Sportatorium there in Dallas...

I would have liked him more had he not been accused by several woman of abusing them physically..I have a hard time as a woman supporting a man who whoops up on women. But he got his act together away from the ring so good luck to him. I've heard him talk about it..he was drinking too much and he has anger issues. Never a dull moment with him though when he was with the WWE. I won't ever forget him hitting Vince with a bedpan..that vignette still cracks me up.

I know ....... I am talking about WCW light.

Oh.. well you said "a company that isn't truly invested in the wrestling business" so i just assumed you meant the WWE, lol.

Seriously though.. competition is what made the "glory days" of wrestling in the 90's. Both shows Nitro and Raw were intense and kept having to up the ante to keep the fans interest. Competition breeds success, and to get back to that level of entertainment, we need a small company like TNA or some other promotion to break through and actually offer legitimate market competition to the WWE product.

TNA has the best chance to do that of any company right now, so rooting for them to continue to be able to develop and grow only makes sense for any wrestling fan. Their biggest problems right now are marketing and booking, but spending more money on production wouldn't be bad either.

:laugh2: One of the many classic moments he left behind.

Yea, i never heard of the abuse reports, but if he did do that its obviously not something i would support. Im not sure what kind of person he was, but as a wrestler and an entertainer.. he was one of the best ever.

Its not a sport and you would be fired for referring to it as such if you worked for that company..

..and they arn't in the wrestling business anymore, per their own statements.

He just drank too much..I guess it would be a understatement that he's probably a mean as hell drunk. I don't think that makes him a bad person necessarily..I don't know the guy obviously but he was just like anybody else that needs help controlling themselves. As far as I know that stuff is long behind him and he's fine now so all is well.

WWE marketed him beautifully...and he was funny.

WWE are pushing that they are an entertainment company so the feds cannot start mandating things to them like they are doing in every other Sport.

With his Wife being on the opposite side of the group who is now in charge political wise and with his own history with the Government, it is only smart.

It also keeps state sport commissions from being able to control what goes on at live shows.

Once again Vince is ahead of the curve.

No, there doing it because every 5 or so years Vince gets a "great" idea to expand, Wrestlemania, around 7 years later that failed bodybuilding company, 5 years later the failed XFL, 5 years later the semi-success of WWE movies, 5 years later "entertainment > wrestling"

TNA will go under before the WWE will

Your wrestling knowledge goes back how many years?

To you the good old days was the Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle feud from 2 years ago.

So please do not preach to us what Vince's tendencies every 5 years are when you had to google anything past 5 years ago.

I've been watching Wrestling since before I watched Football, since 1999. So while 17, my perspective on wrestling isn't "invalid" because of my age, wrestling is a timeless product, you can watch feuds on DVD from 20 years ago and enjoy it the same someone watching it then would've, thats one of the beauty's of wrestling.

The "Ruthless Aggression" era on SD, from 2002-2004 with Paul Heyman booking was my favorite, i've seen a ton of stuff from the attitude era and before, and nothing touches 2002-2004 SD.

So you were 6.

And the XFL was formed when you were 7.

They played their first game when you were 8.

The good old days was Smackdown in 2002-2004 ...... when you were 9-11

:laugh2:

I am sorry for doubting the depth of your professional wrestling knowledge.

That really was the Golden years ....... Smackdown circa 2002-2004.

It was, pulling higher ratings than RAW nearly every week. Lesnar - Angle insanely great feud, fantastic feuds all around, the storylines made sense, mid card storylines that were interesting, go look at the roster or go back and watch, you'll agree.

Well, unless you actually enjoy the garbage that's on RAW/SD now adays, then you might somehow not enjoy the good product that was on then.
