Moore: With faith in Joseph Randle dwindling, Cowboys could have big running back shakeup

Murray certainly isn't irreplaceable, we just haven't found the right replacement. Hopefully C-Mike gets a shot this week as the starter. I'm not very keen on trading for another player and giving up draft picks in said trade. I don't mind it normally, but it seems that we've been making a lot of similar moves which will add up when you give up draft picks.

And maybe the team would not have injuries to Dez and Romo if the running game would have been more secured?

People need to stop blaming the lack of running game on injuries. The running game is flawed because of the inactions of the FO not replacing Murray and not because of injuries. To think otherwise is only fooling themselves.

You're right. Why would anyone think that losing your all pro caliber qb and wr would impact the running game...

I mean Weeden and Williams can approximate what they bring. Right?

Defense respect our passing game the same right?

Doug Martin: Garbage in disguise
Lamarr Miller: second choice
Tre Mason: 1st choice. I would be ecstatic.

That all said, I think given a real chance, CMike will put this RB speculation to rest. A real chance is not a crucial 3rd & 1 ice cold. One of the dumbest coaching moves in the NFL thus far this season. My mother called me before they ran that play and said "son, they're about to run it up the gut".

Doug Martin is a diamond surrounded by garbage. He can play, but unfortunately his OL and QB situations have arguably been the worst in the league.

He'd walk away with the starting job in Dallas.

If I am the coach and I tell my backs not to jump and somebody does it anyways

I bench him

My guess would be Martin and Miller would be a 5th mayby 6th and Mason would be a 4th. If Im correct I bit the bullet on Mason considering he has 3 years left on a rookie deal

Stephen probably wouldn't consider a mid round pick as compensation but a later pick might be possible. I'd like nothing better than to see C-Mike have a good day vs. the Pats and negate all consideration of a trade. We will definitely need our early and mid round picks for the draft next year to minimally satisfy our needs for 2016.

The team misses Murray. Its not the same Team without him. Not the same Identity. Thats overwhelmingly clear.

And I am sure he misses the Cowboys right about now.

I'm also pretty sure he's happy with the money he's socking away in the bank right about now. He'd better enjoy it while he can cause he surely won't see another deal to compare with his current one. He got what he wanted moneywise but there's no doubt he'd be happier playing in Dallas with his buddies.

Anything's possible, even if the odds aren't altogether too good. I'm hoping C-Mike works out. We'll soon see.

I do think we need to find out about him before it's too late to trade. I believe we at least have a pretty good idea what we have in Randle and McFadden and that's not exactly what we need, so we need to see if Michael is before making the next move if needed.

Murray is no longer with the Cowboys. It should be noted.

Exactly

Besides, Murray was signed to hurt Dallas, not to help Philly. Chipster had no intention of using Murray in his offense because he is a horrible scheme fit

Still doesn't change the fact that we replaced Murray with scrubs

There's no rb that I really want in a trade considering we'd probably have to give up a high pick.

Talk about an agenda........

What agenda?

He's a former All Pac-12 O-Linemen that writes about 3-4 different O-Lines each year to give an analysis of what is going on with each O-Line.

He's never singled out players, made inexplicable analysis nor said outlandish things to generate web clicks. He's just telling it like it is.

apples and oranges. Murray is doing spot duty in Philly. Murray does not have the Dallas' line in Philly.
Murray rushed for 1,800 yards last year in Dallas. Could he half repeated this. I dunno. Could he half been a consistent and producutive runner in Dallas this year, probably. My point is this: Jerra fixed something that was not broke, yea productive. Now we are the poor country cousins with no credible running game. I will take mein chances with Mrurray rather than with these RB midgets we half in Dallas now.

We let Murray go to Philly. Then we didn't find a capable replacement in the draft. Training camp also came around we still didn't find a capable replacement. Our run game was the reason why we went to the playoffs. Yet all we got was the koolaid the FO wanted us to drink in the form of " anyone can run behind this oline."
I didn't buy it I also think you didn't buy it also. Someone should have woke Jerry up and let him know we were this close to becoming legit. Don't mess it up and don't fix what isn't broken.

How did this thread become about RBs not on the team? The issues on offense have very little to do with our RB rotation. In fact, other than TE, RB might be one of our more stable offensive position groups. Certainly above the QBs and the WRs so far, and probably more effective than the all-world OL that's supposed to be blocking for them.

Maybe his agenda is to give an expert opinion on offensive line play

Frankly, I would have taken Devonte Freeman from Atlanta on a trade. During the offseason I thought he would fit in nicely because of his small size and quickness. Since they picked Tevin Coleman in the 3rd they might have been open to a trade and it probably wouldn't be a high draft pick. Look at him now. He is tearing things up. He tore the Cowboys up.

I also would be open to a high pick for Peterson. Heck, why not. He is a beast and worthy of a high draft pick for a trade.

People here don't realize we are very close to getting the superbowl. We only needed a capable replacement for Murray. This is one time Jerry should have said enough is enough, we need a big that can almost do what Murray did last year. Drop the koolaid drink and go all out. Because not ANYONE can run behind this oline.
