Moore: With faith in Joseph Randle dwindling, Cowboys could have big running back shakeup

Chris Johnson is 5th in the NFL in rushing. But, Dallas locked into signing McFadden so early, they ruled him out.

Chris Johnson would not be running better in Dallas than he is in Arizona. Arizona has it's full compliment of weapons whereas we don't.

CJ like Demarco is not the answer for us right now. Romo and Dez Bryant are.

It was.....

Monumentally big.

I tried to gripe & moan about it to no avail.

"Rbs are a dime a dozen and anyone can run behind this line".... at least that's what I was told over & over & over & over again....

I think Jerry also bought into drinking the Koolaid "RBs are a dime a dozen and anyone can run behind this oline." But so did many of the folks here. Murray, with his warts in all in fumbling the ball was very productive. I can't say the same about Randle and I not buying the excuse that Murray hasn't been productive with the Eagles either.

Fact is Murray should have been replaced. But I guess the Koolaid was too strong for them to handle and it clouded their thought processes....

You don't really believe that Murray would be doing any better do you? The way teams have been stacking the box and the way that Murray has not produced this year?

No won can really know. But I know that with this line, Murray stacked up 1,800 and chances are, barring injury, Murray would probably do the same here. What we do know is that our running game has a lot of lesser beinks and they play like midgets individually.

You can polish up a turd and make it nice & pretty. Just an attractive little pile.... But, at the end of the day, it's still going to make you reach for the lysol.

LOL. Yes, a deal for AP would half saved Jerra lots of money as well. LOL

In the final urinalysis, Jerra's lack of proactivity on the behave of Murray might be one of his biggest blunders in recent mammary. I say that because I cannot recall when we half been closer to a Super Bowl contention (such as it was) and then this: Murray gone, Romo gone and a D that maybe would make it in the CFL.

That's an insult to the Blue Bombers right there.

Yeah also the team should have known they were going to lose Dez and Romo for so much of the year. Shame on them.

On the radio lately, Stephen Jones mentioned the possibility of acquiring another RB but of course, he didn't mention any names. It was probably due to the lack of one notably better than anyone we already have. Not sure there's a quick fix for the rut we're in with the injuries and all. I'm hoping we can beat the Giants and the Eagles when we play them again. I'm not really too worried about the Commanders right now. They may take care of beating themselves with or without our help.

Well, we still have time for a trade so if a team sees itself going down the tubes it might be willing to deal a good back.

Randle and the Cowboys offense is absolutely fine. If football games ended after a half.

And maybe the team would not have injuries to Dez and Romo if the running game would have been more secured?

People need to stop blaming the lack of running game on injuries. The running game is flawed because of the inactions of the FO not replacing Murray and not because of injuries. To think otherwise is only fooling themselves.

You need to watch the ALL-22. Randle has had plenty of holes open he just runs into his blockers far to often. He also is always looking to make a big cut and if its not there he goes down like a cheap hooker.

It's time to see C-Mike

Then DMC must really mess up because he looks far worse

Fish mentioned after the CM trade that Michael waa insurance for Randle and if Michael didnt work out they would probably look to trade for someone before the deadline. I could see Michael getting the start next week and if they dont like what they see they trade for someone during the bye

It'd be great if someone worthwhile turned up but, of course they're scarce at this time of year. Still, at least there may be hope for someone to turn up, albeit a longshot, if a team is inclined to trade someone of value. Perhaps C-Mike will step up and show something impressive before a trade becomes necessary, though.

Anything's possible, even if the odds aren't altogether too good. I'm hoping C-Mike works out. We'll soon see.

I think the most likely would be Doug Martin, Lamar Miller and possibly Tre Mason

Forte is unlikely since Ive read the Bears may be asking for a day 2 pick

A crucial consideration, especially with Stephen involved, would surely be the required compensation.

My guess would be Martin and Miller would be a 5th mayby 6th and Mason would be a 4th. If Im correct I bit the bullet on Mason considering he has 3 years left on a rookie deal

Doug Martin: Garbage in disguise
Lamarr Miller: second choice
Tre Mason: 1st choice. I would be ecstatic.

That all said, I think given a real chance, CMike will put this RB speculation to rest. A real chance is not a crucial 3rd & 1 ice cold. One of the dumbest coaching moves in the NFL thus far this season. My mother called me before they ran that play and said "son, they're about to run it up the gut".

I think he is going to get the start this week. I dont think Jones makes a move without knowing what Michael can do in a live game
