Who the heck ever actually rooted for failure?
Only time I’ve seen it was during a tanking situation...
Pretty sure damn near every one of us goes nuts during every single Cowboy TD and win..
For me, I never advocated for Dak to get the money he wanted, but every TD and win was always pure bliss, regardless...
What I don’t understand is viewing success from the players’ standpoint... Even when my hero Emmitt played against us as a Cardinal, I was praying for a shut out because he wasn’t a Cowboy at the time...
To this day, I still love the guy to death; however' the only thing that I really care about is advancing our team’s propensity for current and future success... What else really matters???
The only problem with that is passing the ball 800 times and running your QB makes us one dimensional and subjects your QB to injury risk..The offense was built for Dak.....we will not see our entire offense now that Dak is out. Still hoping for Andy not to be the same Andy of the last 5 seasons. #Cowboys4Life
first off no reason to change the offense , its not the offensive scheme its the play calling game plan and in game flow play call adjustment..So we have a head coach that came directly from the Bill Walsh school of WCO and here we are, and here is Kellen Moore instituting an altogether different offense. Interesting. Makes you wonder what went on behind closed yacht doors when McCarthy accepted the offer.
You know what is meant in football terms by saying "threading the needle ". You know that it isn't literal. Aaron Rodgers threads the needle. Pat Mahomes threads the needle. Dak does not thread the needle. Dak steals YAC on a regular basis from receivers because they have to wait for the throw so often. To top it off he misses some of the easiest throws there are to be made. This teams can't run screens for **** because of how bad he is at that easy throw. Don't get me wrong, I think Dak is good enough to win a SB but he doesn't "thread the needle".So you believe a football can be thrown through the eye of a needle? There's an old testament (could be new testament) saying it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle ...........but i doubt that, too. Dak has been very accurate this year until the injury .
Anytime you can resurrect a former starting QBs career, you're going to get HC recognized. Here we go....next up....KMoore up for the HC position.
Romo was our offense, Dak not so much. Dak doesn't create Laurent Robinsons, he needs trading for Amari Coopers.
Admittedly, I never realized Dalton had strengths as a timing passer with quick release!
****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE*** put together a pretty encouraging video RE the same...
Perhaps the offensive line dumpster fire that is might just be protected in a major way if Kellen emphasizes timing and quick release on nearly every designed pass... That was a staple at BSU, FWIW...
Thankfully we should see less holding penalties and long developing plays, like those worthless screens. Consequently, lead draw and play action might also benefit..
Romo created prime Dez Bryant, Terrell Owens, prime Jason Witten ?
Nice try, you had years to make that point about Romo and see it being applied to Dak so think, "why not I slip that in there?"Was Laurant Robinson his #1 receiver?
Didn’t we trade picks to get Romo Roy Williams?
Romo needed a ton of help too. He also had a ton of garbage time stats when we would struggle against teams playing normal defenses and then turn it on at the end when they backed off and traded yards for time.
All most every complaint about Dak can be said of Romo. It’s like I can’t tell the team from 2007-2020 apart with the exception of a few years. I watch the same crap regardless of who the players are. The only thing that changes is who people point the fingers at.
LMAO.. So the offense is going to go from #1 to ?.........
You people are amazing.. It's really going to be fun watching yall contort yourselves if the offense STOPS scoring 33 ppg and 488 yards a game with Dalton at the helm. That's where the bar is set.. If it doesn't hit those marks with Dalton can we all agree that the offense will not be as good? I'm not holding my breath for it to happen nor for idiots who hate Dak to fess up when it doesn't. But I will be laughing at yall. Count on it. Make no mistake.. I want the Cowboys to win.. and I don't really care what kind of numbers Dalton puts up if they do. If yall are too caught in your feelings to admit that no matter what Dalton does this team will continue to look like crap if the defense doesn't step up maybe therapy can help yall.
What good is being #1 on offense if you lose? I don't care what they score, or how they score, just want them to win. I am behind Dalton now just like I was Dak. I will, however, still call it like I see it. If the offense continues to put the ball on the ground 2-3 times a game they will still have it coming.
What about the other years? Seems cherry picked lol So Dak had more in the remaining years of his career?Romo has played with more offensive pro bowlers than Dak in 07, 09, and 12
Perhaps.. I would say mental acuity is more of an ability than a "talent." When I think of talent I think of physical tools. I think that's the way most people see it. Reading the defense, anticipating coverages and routes and simply being able to remain calm under pressure are mental gifts. Jameis' issue really isn't that he lacks any of that.. His problem is judgement. He simply makes poor decisions as to what he should or should not try to do. Whether it be forcing the ball into coverage or trying to pitch it to a lineman while being tackled. He simply makes boneheaded decisions. I mean all QBs do from time to time but he does it more than any supremely physically talented QB I've ever seen.Disagree. Reading a D and producing under pressure are part of being talented.
What about the other years? Seems cherry picked lol
3 more than Dak? The way he worded that stat gave it away...3 years he had more pro bowlers? Seemed like an odd way to say it.He had three in 2014 as well.
