Periods would be hockey, wouldn't it? Doesn't Al Michaels do the same?

Just listened to it a few times and the sounds -- something like 'pheb rav' -- seemed to be his first attempt at saying something like 'Favre's arm' as that is what he said just after the garble.AdamJT13;1803252 said:I'm still trying to figure out exactly what Gumbel said -- or tried to say -- as soon as Nate Jones hit Favre on Favre's final play. He just blurted out two indecipherable words.

Anyway, in the 4th Quarter Gumble was saying how he was impressed with Ryan Grant because Dallas had not given up 100 yards to a single rusher this season. By the way he said it, you would have thought that Grant ran for over 100.
He didn't, finished the game with like 95.
Just another drop in his ocean of idiotic statements. Hopefully the NFL gets rid of that guy. Hes clueless out there. At the very least, keep Gumble from broadcasting anymore of those "Dallas Packers" or "Green Bay Cowboys" games.

Obviously he meant it nicely, calling a Ware a 'tool' and all, but it was perhaps the funniest mistake in a mistake-filled evening.AdamJT13;1804012 said:Actually, it was Ware that he said that about.
