Hey Xelda, I don’t know all that weather jargon but I do know the higher the humidity, the more likely to sweat. There’s no grizzlies around here but there are warning signs to look out for alligators, snakes and wild hogs. I’ve seen them all but at a distance. The most common snakes I see are copperheads, water moccasins, Corral and grass snakes. So you’re always on the look out. If you see what looks like a stick ahead in your path, it’s most likely a snake.
I'm not going in the yard ever again!

Wish I knew how to easily upload a personal photo or two.. I would share photos of "our" bears rummaging through our bird feeders and garden last year.

Afternoon Pops and friends.

Fresh stories on Tuesday! :omg:   :banghead: Congratulations are still in order.

Today I decided to use up some of the things I've had in my garage so I no longer have to make space for them. A lot of manure has been spread with half a bag left to go. I had a sudden hankering to run for office. Got to get rid of that manure! I'm watering my plants to let them know I did it on purpose. I bought some concrete ten years ago and don't remember what I bought it for. I'll think of something. Should I put the mulch on top of the weeds and hope they take the hint? I finished pressure washing my driveway yesterday, so I can celebrate a half way well done job. It's just brighter than the rest, so waiting to see if the Griswold's pick up the gauntlet. I've still got a lot of manure left to spread so have a good Friday everyone. That goes double for you, Jan!
I say you take that manure and use it to blow up the blackberry bush.

I hope there is a positive to focus on such as the overtime pay edges you farther toward you goal of moving to a new place. I'm sorry you're going through that.
Interesting how it worked into a short work week. Not having to work Monday meant more of the work times went toward the 40 hours. Still got 10 OT in this week even only working 4 days.

Well, hate to say I told ya so but I told ya so!! Now Jan needs top cooperate and get out of her funk and I am 2 fer 2. Annnnnnnd if she doesn't I will hold her responsible for not being 100%.

By golly, if a card carrying pessimist makes optimistic predictions, everyone better cooperate. Your doc did his part. Really happy for you, I know this was jacking with you.
I'm trying. Booked a flight for October to go back to Virginia Beach, so there's that. Probably my last visit for a while as I really need to buckle down on my savings. Either that or I need a serious winning lottery ticket. I'm on this journey alone and it's harder than I thought it would be.

It was getting really old, CC. Before I got the surgery, I was expecting two, maybe three months. But at least I didn't have to drive in the snow!
Disability pay sucks. I was off work 6 months after my surgery and I had to be off 3 months before it kicked in. My boss paid me my 40-hour rate for those 3 months until it did. That was really awesome of him but the disability was like 60% of my regular 40 hour pay, and I'm used to having overtime on every check.

Thank you. Mostly got through the week. There's some carryover to this coming Monday but it's in my control so I guess the week ended well. CC, take your 100%.

Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long for mine, but for some reason they had two claims in my name, and I had to send them a check for $1800 (If I remember the amount correctly) after the first month. Then this last month was a fight to get them and the doctor's office on the same page. Why they couldn't just speak to the doc's office directly, instead of making me go back and forth with a "he said/she said" situation, I don't know. But yeah, 60% sucks, especially when you're used to 10 - 14 hours of OT every week.

Yes, but nothing behind the head (which he says they don't want anyone doing, regardless of health) and don't push it. He has me coming in for a follow up in 2 months, so he can tell me then how awesome I'm doing!
How exciting to be able to get back to some sense of normalcy! Make the most of your last weekend before having a Monday.
