We're safe now but tomorrow watch out, he's headed to the Big City. Only thing worse is me and the weather.
Today wasn't bad. Just a couple of local stops, once I got all my stuff set up in my truck and had the right side of the front bumper pulled back out where it belongs, after someone (naturally, nobody knows who) hit something and pushed the bumper back almost to the tire. Then had to patch a hole in the Conestoga, replace a broken wire bracket, and a few other things. All in all, the truck was in much better shape than I'd expected.

Tomorrow is Brooklyn, Bronx, and Yonkers...No Manhattan.

Morning Pops and peeps from anyplace other than this one.

It was a fairly quiet ride to Brooklyn this morning, with very little traffic. Makes me wonder if it's a Jewish holiday. I like it better here on Jewish holidays, except when my dispatcher doesn't realize it's a Jewish holiday, and sends me to Jewish owned businesses, particularly when I don't know what time those businesses open for business, and I sit and wait, minding my own business, until I decide I should probably call to see if they plan on opening their business.

Oh how lovely...a half pound rat, getting into one of the piles of garbage on the sidewalk. Welcome to New York.

Morning, Pops and friends. I'm going to go to Ft. Worth today to get my hearing aids fixed. Gonna have to replace them soon and good ones are expensive. Y'all take care and have a good day.
My wife used to remark about my hearing and that I should investigate hearing aids but she didn't know that I had an incurable disease but she suspected. In fact, many people weren't aware of this. I have SHACD, Selective Hearing and Comprehension Disorder. It seems to kick in late in the afternoon, around the evening newscasts.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to any and all who decide to stop in today and visit this thread.

Been a busy few days for me. Working on some stuff that is just very time consuming. I guess it's good because it's better to be working then not.

How's everybody in here today? I hope everybody is doing well, I'm kinda oblivious right this second.

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, have a great day!

Everybody, try to find a little something that brings a smile to your face today. Sometimes, that's all you need to turn things around. Be well everybody!

Good afternoon Pops and friends. The weather channel says it’s 90 degrees and feels like 99. It actually feels hotter. I went to the store to run an errand, just walking from the parking lot to the store, I could almost feel my skin sizzling. Ok I exaggerate a little but you get the pic. It’s hot but come August this will be a cool front. :muttley:

About 9 this morning. I was playing baseball outside with 2 grandsons. We use a makeshift baseball (shop towel wrapped with maskin tape 4 times over) and a bat (3/4” x 3’ pvc pipe). So far no broken windows but some tremendous homeruns up and over the roof. Anyone hitting my orange tree is an automatic out. My house my rules. I strikeout a lot when it’s my turn to bat;). It got pretty hot around 10ish and they wanted to come inside lol.

Have a good day everyone. Have to round up lunch for my mom.

Afternoon Pops and friends. Glad to see Runny starting up with his New York stories. It can only get better.

I can't even see the words 'hearing aid' without laughing. I've been in the family business most of my adult life and daddy would walk into my office and fart. I'd say "I heard that". He'd say it was a free hearing test and I passed. Adventures in the family business. Many of us are dreading July, August and September already RGV. I've been dreading it since March. I tried to get 99% of my yard projects finished before it hit miserable. I'm 82% finished and it's too hot to continue.

A game I really enjoyed updated on my phone. After that when I pulled the game up an ad would shout "Shut up and give me the money" then the sounds of bullets. :omg: The first violent spelling game I've encountered.

Have a good evening everyone.

It was a dark night. It was a possum night.

Oh, hades, I was so plastered I'm not even sure it was night!!! I do seem to remember a chicken, and armadiller, and I think there was a goose somewhere, but of that I'm not sure. Sawyer Brown was hoppin' around like a cricket on a skiddle tellin' us she was shakin', and I could see my next door neighbor asittin' on his porch noddin' along w/ the beat. Or he was asleep, prolly the latter!!!!

Anuhways, seems there was this gigglin' drunk girl that no one seemed to have invited, but she was purdy and kept pickin' up pecans and gigglin' an' threatenin' to wup someone, so we didn't complain. Ain't nuthin' better'n gettin' wupped by a drunk hot girl, I always say!!!!!

So, apparently I passed out about this time. And that is all.

Morning, Pops and anyone who drops in today. Happy hump day! Rain, rain and more rain the next few days. My golf games got rained out last week and might be again this week.

I found out that both my hearing aids need to be rebuilt. The factory will rebuild them for $900 and give me a whopping 6 month guarantee. They were six years old and I've abused them by forgetting to take them off before I shower and stuff like that so I guess I got my moneys worth. I will be buying a new pair. Yesterday the hearing aid guy lent me a top-of-the-line pair of Siemens hearing aids to try out. I counted dollar signs to get to sleep last night.

Have a great day, everyone.

IT'S TRUE! We had pecan cobbler with Jack Daniels syrup. ksk passed out face down, so we used his butt as a cooling rack. All in all, it was a fun evening.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. We were lucky yesterday and the rain held off long enough to finish our round of golf. We were unlucky yesterday because we played terrible; but we had a great time and a beer so all's good. Have a great day.
