Morning, Pops and all. The 5 yr. old G-son cracked me up. His mom brought him home from the swimming pool and told him to change out of his wet bathing suit. When I walked past the hallway he was at the other end in front of his room butt naked, bent over with his hands on his knees sticking his butt way out swaying it back and forth saying, "Boom shakalaka, boom shakalaka, shake that booty, shake that booty!". I was too broke up to even think about getting a video on my phone. Y'all have a great day.

If that was mine doing that, everyone would use that "we know where he gets that" phrase, wink wink. And I would tell them "you mean y'all don't do that. You never outgrow your need for a little booty shakin'". My problem now is I can't get my boom boom to stop shakalaking.

Morning Pops and Monday Morning Warriors, fight the good fight and keep those Social Security taxes coming in. We may need a telethon since cutbacks are due 2035. It will have to be an early evening one, right after nap time and before bedtime and for cryin' out loud, not during the Senior "Don't Forget Your Teeth" dining specials because we have to start early to finish on time. At some point chewing isn't involuntary just because there's food in our mouths. I have a neighbor, Russell, still got a got dog from the 4th in his.

Y'all go out there and make this the best possible Monday you can and remember what ole CC always says. "No matter how much you don't like Monday's, there's always someone that dislikes them more so keep your pissin' and moanin' to yourself".

So the Grandson's Birthday this past weekend, Wife was out of town so gonna have to have another little get together, maybe this coming weekend, so Gramma can make him a cake and celebrate his BDay.

Maybe we will go fishing next weekend and take the little guy out to the Ranch. We'll figure something out for him.

Afternoon Pops and friends! It's Amazon Prime Day! I found something for $36 which I'd paid $100 for at Home Depot. I was excited since my $100 garden tool started acting up. I paid more and changed brands since the original isn't Xelda proof. I hope it takes longer to tear up the new one. I missed out on the conversations yesterday due to company. I was with y'all in spirit though. I have trouble with ice cream too, Jan. I simply do not crave it, the pain out weighs any taste. Best wishes for you, Coach in talking with your friend. I doubt you'd want my prayers after I offered up sacrifices for New Orleans this past weekend.

So that's why they're called water hazards!

Sorry Colo, we left the doors open in the South to let some of the heat out.

Evening Pops and everyone.

The ice cream experiment is a hit! Got two thumbs up at work (from all with two thumbs ) (for the record that's everyone...)

Xel, I'm fine with dairy. It doesn't get to me as such, but, long story short, since I have just the one kidney now my kidney doc (also my surgeon) advised me to limit dairy because of the high protein. Protein can work the kidney(s) pretty hard and I'm fresh out of spare parts (having just the one now) so I'm finding alternatives. Other dietary restrictions too, but this protein one is the toughy.

The ice cream is one of my favorite 'finds'. Also found a mac and cheese that is dairy free and has a respectable flavor.

Half way through July already and that means Fall is right around the corner, and you know what that means! For me it's football, cross-country runners, crisp cool evenings and moderate temp days, leaves crunching under my feet as I walk through the park, and curling up in a blanket on the deck on a cool night with a nice glass of wine... Can't wait.

Got passed Monday so thats good. The boy is here this morning so getting ready to get up and whip up some Eggs and Bacon, maybe some refried beans to go along. Heat up some tortillas maybe.

Xelda, gotta admit, I love Ice Cream. 31 flavors Baseball Nut and Pralines and Cream are my favorites.

I loaded up with fresh berries from the produce section then I had a strange craving for ice cream so I went to the ice cream section and got some strawberry ice cream. That’s healthy. Definitely a kiss hello then she’s going to walk around the house to see the mess. I’m cleaning as I go so shouldn’t be too bad.

I went with Blue Bell. I checked to make sure it hadn’t been pre licked. I’ll look for the Haagen-Daz next time . Nothing as good as the home made ice cream. Hopefully someday we’ll see the Gramma-Jan brand

I am off Blue Bell, once with Listeria is forgivable, twice is not. Same reason I won't enter a Chipotle. I don't trust them.

They would hand mix stuff that was worth writing home about. I used to eat it from time to time until I realized how much trouble it gives me. @RGV_C_Los, our family has conversations dominated by the joys of Blue Bell. Also, don't forget to change that filter.

I wanted to get the rest of the flower bed out front taken care of, but it became 90 quick with a real feel of 101. I'll scrounge around and find stuff to ignore inside again today. Have a good Tuesday all!

What a bunch of ingrates, did they complain to all the other caring ladies that brought them free ice cream?

Ya know what you should do the next time? Hold back a second helping and only give it to those that were appreciative of getting any. Let them watch the second helping nice people enjoying their ice cream.

I keep mine and open a Costco sized can of Wolf Brand but I don't ask them "how long's it been since you had a thick steaming bowl of Wolf Brand chili"? Because they just had it and don't know it.

Vander Esch's agent should contact them about an endorsement and Wolf kitchen products as well. I think it would be cool if the home crowd would do the howl when he makes a play. Quite a few used to do the Shark when Kenny Gant made a play.
