Hope everybody is in a good place today. It's Friday so if you are not, just go out and find a few folks who are in a frame of mind to have a great weekend and before too long, it will become contagious.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the folks down in the Gulf, down around La. Barry is out there, hoping it loses steam as it gets closer to landfall.

Thanks to the time zones, I can say, "Morning Pops!"

Nice, mellow Friday in Upstate NY, and already back near the yard, eating a happy Friday jalapeño, pepperoni, and sausage pizza.

Gotta make chili tonight for a niece's graduation party tomorrow, so last night's habañero sauce on my dinner, today's pizza, and tomorrow's chili and whatever else should make for an interesting Sunday morning.

Evening Pops and friends. Well.... Barry's slapping southern La around. Boudreaux and Bubba had to go to the emergency room with a cut foot. If I had made "turn around, don't drown" into a drinking game, I'd be passed out by now. I was praying for those people as I watched the weather channel, when someone with his pants hanging down showing his baggy red underwear decided it was time for a photo op. It took all I had in me to NOT say "feel free to wash that one out to sea". It's not easy to pray for people in New Orleans.

Yesterday I want to Sam's and found they'd sold out of the cheap garden dirt so I stocked up on the rubber mulch. A woman that works there stopped and told me to request help unloading it. I did and some poor boy with a winter scarf (I ain't lyin'! I guess he had a bunch of hickeys.) wrapped around his neck came up to help. He got to my car and accessed the situation. "All of this ain't gonna fit" he said. I said "Sure it will. I've gotten more than this in before". He was perturbed at how this day was going for him and I was trying to rush my gathering of groceries to allow him back in the AC if his boss would allow it. I gathered up all I could see from behind my bags and he asked "you don't want your berries and nanners"? Why yes I do! I don't know if I've told y'all this before or not, but blueberries will last a whole lot longer in an air tight container.

Well, I'm waiting for the rain now since I fertilized stuff yesterday. Have a good Saturday evening all.
