Good Leap Day Pops and combining this with a Saturday is euphoric. I do not recall any Leap Day falling on a Saturday in the past because I do not recall any Leap Day's. I am good if I remember any Saturday's in the past.

Carpe Diem is Irish, already working on some action for the next celebratory day, for seize the day and this is a day to indeed seize. You won't get these Leap Day sales for another 4 years. And speaking of Irish tradition, and I was, today a woman can ask a man to marry. If that man declines, she can beat him with a Shillelagh within a centimeter of his life. Y'all can blame yourselves for the Irish references, bringing up my potato. I was getting shamed by the vegans for the salami.

I will celebrate this day with the Leap Year cocktail of Hendrick's gin, Grand Marnier, Sweet Vermouth and lemon juice. I have no idea how that will be and will have some backups just in case or make a pitcher of them.

I want to wish all of you Happy Leap Day because I have never wished anyone that in my life. I hope you all feel special.

BTW, about those Irish references, I will be going by O'CouchCoach that week. Can't wait for Cinco de Mayo. I celebrate that day in the traditional sense but since there's ABQ, daboyz, Jan, Leon, RGV, Runny and Xelda in the Krewe of Pops. that's 7 so 2 of you will not be receiving the traditional 5 jars of mayo. Do not feel left out, I will substitute a jar of mustard or condiment of your choice and not everyone likes mayo so there is that. I'd go for the Maille Country Dijon, if it were me.

And BTW2, I missed wishing y'all Happy Mardi Gras and Laissez Bon Temps Rouler, Cher so here's a belated one to each of you.

No mayonnaise for me O'Coach. If a recipe calls for that stuff, I don't make it. Ok, had to get that out of the way. Happy Mardi Gras and Laser Bon Bons to you, too.

Good Saturday afternoon Pops and friends. I have many plans and at the end of the day, I will see which one I chose to do. I am always full of surprises like that. I hope everyone has a good day and Runny's adjustment worked out.

Morning Pops and friends.

Just made an emergency appointment with my chiropractor for 12:15. Haven't been able to work since Wednesday. I was supposed to go to NYC yesterday, and they scheduled a helper to go with me, but I couldn't even stand up Wednesday night, so I called my boss to tell him, but his wife picked up the phone and hung up on me, so I texted him, then texted my supervisor to let him know. Then I got a call at 4:20 a.m. (fortunately I had the foresight to keep my phone within reach) from one of the other drivers. Apparently, neither of my bosses called the helper to tell him not to bother coming in at 3:30 a.m.

I'm feeling very slightly better today, after doing absolutely nothing for the past 36 hours. Hopefully the chiropractor can fix me up.

Good afternoon Pops and friends.

Hope you’re feeling better Runny. It’s tough when the back goes out. It’s happened to me a few times in my life. Rest has always worked for me. Just remember to bend at the knees and lift with your legs.

Arthritis in my spine and pelvis, but I've been dealing with back pain since I was a teenager. But thanks!

Good morning Pops and Zoner Friends,

We've been away the past few days (more on haven't that later) and haven't kept up well with this thread.

@Runwildboys, sorry to hear about the back problems. That is the worst feeling when every twist or turn or bend brings pain. I suffer from arthritis in my shoulder, hips and wrists. While anti-inflammatory meds helped, it is not something you want to do long term. Thanks to a specialist recommended by my GP, I altered my diet (cut out gluten and dairy -- although, I still cheat with a bit of cheese on a salad or taco), started using CBD cream (non-THC) and returned to the gym -- it has made a real difference. Sure, I still get sore and have the occasional arthritic inflammation, but it is far better now than just a few months ago. Anyway... my two cents from my social media medical practice. :)

We traveled to Missoula, Montana last week and had a really great time. My wife and I (and, by that I mean, my wife) found a great piece of property in the Bitterroot Mountains that, following a bit more due diligence, we'll probably make an offer to purchase. When we built our retirement home a few years ago, I never imagined we would consider moving. Now, however, I can't stop think about the changes we would make to the next home we build. If any of you have seen the series "Yellowstone" with Kevin Costner, that is what the property looks like, minus the huge house and, of course, Kevin Costner (much to my wife's chagrin).

We had another snowstorm last evening. Much like the rain storms I experienced growing up in Texas, the clouds rolled in, it snow for a few hours and blue skies followed. The cats and I were examining the driveway this morning and we mutually agreed no snow-blowing today. We are throwing caution to the wind and driving into town without clearing anything. :)

Hope everyone has a great week
