Beautiful sunrise, cool temperatures and the fresh smell of the forest after a rain... what's not to love and enjoy?

We survived another wedding anniversary by visiting the Arches and Canyonlands national parks in Utah late last week. We averaged about 7 miles hiking per day. If you haven't been to these NPs add them to your bucket list... absolutely stunning.

But, glad to be home.

Afternoon Pops and Popsadoodles. Happy anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Montanalo and welcome home.

I spent my tax refund on new stuff for my home. I actually bought a sofa off Amazon. Hard to believe, but I couldn't find anything in town I wanted. It was so wrapped that a tornado could have picked the UPS truck up, spun it around, slammed it to the ground and my sofa would still have been protected. The packing equaled a nice love seat once removed. After I ordered my sofa, the price jumped to over twice what I paid for it. It came down some later. I was using the image to match it with other items. For the past six days I've been unwrapping, assembling and trying to get all the Styrofoam balls off of me and out of the house. My favorite was the item that came without instructions.

I wish I were on a tropical island in a hammock on the shore with a big glass of iced tea. The smell of the salt water in the breezes that freely flow past and the sound of the waves playing patty cake with the sand.

I ordered a chainsaw off Amazon last week, and I knew before I even touched the box that it was broken. Guess I should have ordered a sofa with it.
