ABQ, had a very early appointment at the VA yesterday so I could make it to work only an hour late, hence me missing a day, sir

I'm back, brother

Leon, are you in an area that needs the rain, sir? We received much, much needed rain this past season. I live in the San Fernando Valley in SoCal, so when it rains it floods. Thankfully, I'm at the top of the street. i keep an app on my phone that tracks rainfall totals. We did better this season than last, when El Niño was supposed to bring us a bunch

Morning, Pops and Pen Pals. Our golf game didn't get rained out yesterday and we had a good time. The temp was perfect and we had just a slight breeze.
I shot 88, ABQ. I felt like I was playing really well, but I still had 4 double bogeys. It's a challenging game.

@Trouty , our drought broke a couple of years ago. We had been in drought conditions for 6 or 7 years before that. A lot of the cattle ranchers sold off their herds because food became too expensive here. A lot of cattle were moved to Oklahoma. But we are back to normal now. Lake Granbury is full again and that's nice.

On my way home today. Been a long week, will be good to see my Wife and Kids. Makes me appreciate those who have to leave their families and spend weeks, months and years away. You guys rock and have my admiration for the sacrifice.

I'm glad you're back with the family, ABQ. I was an auditor for a year or so and was traveling all the time. Only got home on weekends and holidays, and then right back on the road again. It wasn't the life for me.

ABQ, family is everything. I was away from my wife and son (from when he was 6 months-1 1/12 years old) when I was in Iraq. Plus all the field training required of a line infantry unit. Like Leon, with his stint as an auditor, wasn't the life for me. Enjoy your wonderful family, sir.
