Much much work. And then I had to go after hours to help one of my customers out. Seems she was selling knock off pro sports stuff. You know, w/o permission. So, she got me to haul it off for her this evening.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. It was a good day yesterday as I didn't run into any more snakes. We are expecting more rain for the next few days and the low ground in the field behind my fence is already soaked. I don't know if that isl driving more snakes to higher ground, i.e. my yard, or not. I hope you all have a fine day and don't meet up with any snakes in the grass; even those with two legs.

Good morning Pops and pin cushions, I feel your pain. I carry a sucker into the vampire and tell her "this is your reward, I cannot, legally, show you your punishment if this doesn't go well". They all smile except this nurse I got back in October. She responded "can't have it, I am diabetic" in a matter of fact delivery, seems she didn't want to play along. I responded 'in that case, this could be your punishment". Then she laughed and I made her hold back on the insertion until she wasn't chuckling because it was beginning to sound a little diabolical.

Well, remember that river that flooded last October to create the worst flood since 35? In danger of doing so again with all of the rain as it crested last Saturday above flood stage. We've got quite a bit of rain, up to 8", headed this direction so they'll have to keep a close eye on it. The Austin weather people are all giddy because they're important again and people should, I say should, pay attention to them about the warnings. The old guy in Austin that's been doing the weather since weather actually came into being went on a rant yesterday about the meaning of "turn around, don't drown" and the anchors went from amused to shifting uncomfortably in their seats because he was dangerously close to being Peter Finch in "Network".

Morning Pops, friends and tadpoles. I ran into a bit of luck today. I was trimming bushes and ran my small hedge trimmer over a finger. I stopped, came inside, cooled off and officially ended yard work for the day. (I'm so good to me.)

I'm hoping all flooding stops, but wish the national news would show Coach pairing up the animals before it's over. I know about those wacky weathermen though. One left his spot at the map and walked to right in front of the camera barking about how serious he was concerning a major tornado outbreak. GET SOMEWHERE SAFE!!!! He was giving street names where one tornado was at. It was apparently lost since there were no trailer parks in that neighborhood. On the Weather Channel one guy was thrilled to report a tornado. He was like a puppy with his first bone. It was grievously inappropriate and I haven't seen him since. Weather people are just a different species than news anchors.

The needle came out right before I threw my hand over my heart and yelled "I'm coming Elizabeth".

Good afternoon Pops and Zoner Friends,

Been away from this site for a few days... trying to put in a sprinkler system for our home. The engineer in me has my brain (and vanity) convinced that I can tackle about any home improvement or basic mechanic job. Unfortunately, age, wisdom and a good wife has shown me the (general) folly of this thinking. Nonetheless, I forged ahead. Overall, not a bad job -- that is, if success is measured in terms of all the sprinkler heads working. However, I have to admit that the ditches look like they were made by two drunk sailors on shore leave. Fortunately, we've had a wet start to spring, so hopefully, grass will quickly spread cover up my Plains of Nazca renditions.

I know what you mean, @LeonDixson. I am sitting on our balcony deck, drinking a cup of tea and watching rain roll in over the front range. Very peaceful. Not thinking about much at all - other than the expected 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow evening. Can you believe it???

Sorry 'bout all that rotten weather. We've had enough but it's raining again. Expecting another crest possibly next week. Had a few dry days so hopefully they can get things braced back up to avoid more of that flooding into town. It's far too cool here for tubing.

This is what happens to people that engage in incest, they neglect their pet Direwolves. Snow is just pissed because Ghost didn't come to see him when he was dead. Speaking of direwolves, and you were, I thought they were supposed to be a lot bigger. I think Ghost was the runt of the litter, and that's why the bass turd son got him, but still, I think he should be bigger. Maybe they just made him the runt so he could have a more prevalent presence on screen?
