FEATURED Morning Pops!

For Christmas this past year, I bought my wife a Ninja Cafe Luxe coffee maker. She loves a cappuccino and the Cafe Luxe does a great job. The barista (me), however, hasn't master the art of formed milk designs on the top of the cappuccino. Despite watching countless videos, all my designs look like either a white balloon or a full moon. I am reliably informed, though, that the cappuccino tastes excellent. I don't like coffee, so I wouldn't know.

So, why the discussion about cappuccino? My grandson walked into the kitchen this morning as I was finishing my latest design and remarked, "Wow! That looks like a full moon"

Hey, do anything of you have a home sous vide machine? I think that's the next kitchen aid I need.
I'd offer you pointers on your coffee art, but I don't drink coffee, and have never tried making a "formed milk design". Just drop a Marshmallow Peep in it.

Rain pounding the area. Pedernales River on a huge rise, looks like 30-40 foot. Some RV parks in danger of being washed out. Stupid idiots, putting those places on a flood plain. Fredericksburg, TX. Roads closed everywhere, including some major highways. 87 S to San Antonio, for instance.

Good super early morning y'all. Belated birthday wishes go out to Jan! I typed up a lengthy response to your coffee conundrum, Montanalo but hit some magical key and everything disappeared. I got mad and left the site. There are stencils where you can sprinkle stuff on your moons. I've seen YouTube videos that make the designs look easy, but I don't drink coffee either. I didn't know what a sous vide was and hit Amazon for a proper introduction.

Welcome back, G2 and I hate to hear about all the trouble Canada is giving y'all.

Tony Romo must have been out celebrating Jan's birthday and was arrested. Today I saw people are on CBS to punish him. I burst out laughing. It took me back to my childhood when my brother got in trouble. Momma would whip him then proclaim "I hope you learned your lesson!" I'd yell back "You know he didn't! Whoop him again!"

Awww thank you, Xel. I’m in NC with my daughter’s family for vacation… been an interesting trip that I think the universe never intended to let happen, but it’s happening by force. My daughter always gets her way :)
