I love the mid-sixties chevelles. My "55 is coral and India ivory. It has a 350 putting out around 325 horses. We had a lot of fun today and saw some very nice cars including a '33 Plymouth with a rumble seat and a 440 mopar engine. Sweet.jobberone;4780251 said:Good morning Pops and all. Love the 55 Leon. What color and engine yada. Taking my 67 Chevelle SS out tomorrow and the 70 Superbee is almost finished. I've never driven it. Enjoy that trip. Everyone have a great day.
I agree. But that pic was taken in Hawaii and not only is it too warm for long pants, they threaten to deport you for wearing them.justbob;4780842 said:Whoops didn't see the picture --Cool car Leon --but those legs need to becovered
Thanks, Sarge. I know what you mean about letting them get away. I sold a '69 camaro convertible for peanuts that's worth over $100K today. Aside from the money, I loved the car. I couldn't afford to keep it with a new baby in the house.Sarge;4780847 said:Morning Pops and a good gameday morning to all.
Love that car Leon - they don't make them like that any more - that is for certain. As I said before, I use to have a 55 Chevy Wagon (not Nomad) street rod that was gorgeous and like an idiot, I sold it. It was straberry red with peral white top....... I will grab another someday. Now, I'm kind of a fan of the 58's (Chevy of course). We'll see.
You folks have a great day ahead!

jobberone, I neglected to say in my post above that the car had a frame off restoration that was finished about 8 years ago. However several things were not done very well, such as the front windows rattle, the sun visors won't stay up, etc. Small things like that that I will be working on myself. I kept the car looking original on the outside and the interior, but put a rebuilt 350 engine, 350 trans, front disc brakes, and power steering on it. The suspension is stock. I kept the original radio in the dash and mounted a stereo in the glove box with a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk. Here's a pic of the topless gold digger with me and my granddaughter:

I don't even know if I can explain it fully. It just makes me feel good to know that there are good people in this thread I guess.
BTW, a very good morning to all who may stop this way as well.
Have a great day everybody.
