Cleveland can now draft Myles Garrett, trade No. 12 to New England for Garropolo, and draft two players in the second round.

Well played.

Houston is in a world of hurt with no good options.

Wonder what we could get out of them right now for Dak? A first and second this year. And their first next year.

Do you do it?

They have options...but that Cle trade is a shocker and dramatically helps the Cowboys leverage.

It could result in a meaningful trade now...or incentivize Jerry to change plans and hold Romo if they can't do anything today.

I'm stunned Cleveland took on that contract w/their trade.

Still have Romo. :)

Romo is a game-by-game QB now, not the future of any team. Why would we give away the guy that could lead this team for the 10+ years? We don't have the D to win it all and Romo can no longer carry this team.....

Ouch
That's a splash of icy water right there

If people want to say he's an idiot then fine but everything is relative. There are a lot of clubs that have performed poorly the past several years but Jerry has not been one of them.

Ben Rodgers--who is radio guy that probably knows Romo the brst on a personal level--says retirement is not completely off the table.
Not predicting it, but said since hes had time to really think about the life changes possibly coming up, its not out.

I could see this. Has 2-3 yrs then retires. Is it worth moving to another state? It could be Houston, retire, or take the lesser deal and backup Dak. I'll just keep refreshing until something happens.

If i'm reading the tea leaves....Denver has made an offer that the Cowboys would likely accept. Trying to drum up interest from Houston a better landing spot. Houston is calling everyone's bluff.

With their QB situation, how can Houston call anyone's bluff?

Snort, snort the powder.

I like to think outside the box.

They called Jimmy Johnson crazy when he traded HW. Of course. He actually DID something with the haul. Not sure we would or could.

But still.

Most things are relative but Jerry being a football idiot is like the speed of light, the one absolute is a world of relativism

McClain saying on Ben and skin that if romo doesn't go to Houston they'll draft a QB and then roll with savage. Lol good luck with that Houston. If they don't trade for him and he doesn't go there houston is screwed. Hold on to him Jerry. You have the leverage make them cave

That's not thinking outside the box. It's just stupid.
