Im listening to McClain on the radio right now.

He is basically saying that Houston won't trade for Romo and that Houston isn't interested in any Free Agent QB's but Romo.

They have options...but that Cle trade is a shocker and dramatically helps the Cowboys leverage.

It could result in a meaningful trade now...or incentivize Jerry to change plans and hold Romo if they can't do anything today.

I'm stunned Cleveland took on that contract w/their trade.

Cleveland can eat half that contract and trade him for the rest. They have tons of cap room.

Then, they can draft Myles Garrett, trade the No. 12 pick for Garropolo, and they now have the first pick in the second round and Houston's second-round pick.

That's pretty good.

Makes a lot of sense. Meanwhile....what happens if we trade him somewhere else or someone outbids them for him? Tom Savage?????

McClain saying on Ben and skin that if romo doesn't go to Houston they'll draft a QB and then roll with savage. Lol good luck with that Houston. If they don't trade for him and he doesn't go there houston is screwed. Hold on to him Jerry. You have the leverage make them cave

Yeah, "they'll draft a quarterback and go with Savage". And compete for nothing, Fire their head coach, start over, and be scrambling for a quarterback like they have been since the entered the league. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Great plan.

Yeah listening to him more, Houston might be telling him that but I don't believe Houston is content rolling with savage the whole year like he's saying

I could see this. Has 2-3 yrs then retires. Is it worth moving to another state? It could be Houston, retire, or take the lesser deal and backup Dak. I'll just keep refreshing until something happens.
Nobody said he would do this. I added a list of things to consider though.

I think everybody thinks he'll play

Jerry just needs to play the waiting game.

Houston is not going into next year with Savage.

If they do all this wheeling and dealing just to trade the #12 pick for Garropolo, I will laugh heartedly.
