Houston is in a world of hurt with no good options.

Wonder what we could get out of them right now for Dak? A first and second this year. And their first next year.

Do you do it?

OK, then Romo signs with Denver.

Now what does Houston do?

Look, none of us know. But I'm guessing Tony's agent and Houston's front office guys have held plenty of conversations to have a good idea of what to expect next.

The fat man is at it again

That's not John McClain. He's an imposter.

This is John McClain

Start Savage and draft a rookie QB like they were planning all along.

And watch this No. 1 defense get old and leave in free agency?

All that money and draft picks tied up in receivers?

They either trade for Cousins or Garrapolo, or Romo.

So we could be in their place next year? Nope

Basic negotiation rule: the one quickest to pull the trigger loses. If someone is offering a 4th-round pick today, they may be willing to offer a 3rd in two weeks.

Yeah but they could also just walk away. That is why they call it the art of the deal, there is no absolute science to it. The best you can do is know your opponent and go Sun Tzu.

We know that Elway is a long thinker, patient, and smart. The Texans owner is impatient, arrogant, and not so smart. We got the Texans to show their hand hard today.

If Rapoport is right and there is no trade, Jerry just totally screwed the pooch. Houston just became the talk of Texas.

But this is Rapoport, so.........
If i'm reading the tea leaves....Denver has made an offer that the Cowboys would likely accept. Trying to drum up interest from Houston a better landing spot. Houston is calling everyone's bluff.

No.

They have options. Cousins, Garrapolo, Romo, even Cutler.

Certainly Houston already has something in hand before letting their QB go.

Ben Rodgers--who is the radio guy that probably knows Romo the best on a personal level--says retirement is not completely off the table.
NOT predicting it, but said since hes had time to really think about the life changes possibly coming up, its not out.

  • He and Candice have young kids
  • Candice is due for their 3rd in August
  • Romo has spent his whole career in Dallas and plans to stay here log term
  • They just finally built their dream house in Dallas
  • He's only really played in one offense his whole career...and wont get to take "his" offense with him like Manny did
  • His health is the best its been in 4-5 years, but its dicey with back issue
  • Dont expect Romo Wednesdays whetever he goes ( not sure he needs it though)
  • Money is not an issue at all
  • And more
He wants to play!
But there are things to consider
