I'm assuming the same...but the delay could be related to Denver trying to finalize a trade to move Trevor Simien (sp). Both Denver and Houston could decide to go after Jay Cutler is they lose out on Romo.

Sucks to keep checking this board waiting for news that we traded away my favorite player.

Problem for those teams is Romo is better QB than Cutler. Tony could help Texans get into Super Bowl. They know that. What Dallas needs really is just 1 more team (chiefs?) to enter this and then you have a bidding war.

Denver has 12 picks. If they let Houston have him. They are nuts and their fans would and should be pissed.

I'm saying I put this scenario as "best case". Highly doubt you get another 3 out of it as well

Denver and Houston can get into a bidding war but having KC or Arizona enter after Denver and Houston are finished........wow

With Denver and Houston wanting Romo I say we get better then just a 3rd round pick. Comes down to who wants him more. I could easily see a first rounder or more by the time is settled

I wish I was that confident in what they can get. Both teams have said "not pursuing unless cut" and my worst case scenario is Jerry wanting to lead the news day going into the weekend so he's chilling out for the day

Is that just a gut feeling or what? I think we might only get peanuts like a later pick but I think we will at least get something.

We have Houston over a barrell right now too.

Its not like we are trying to rape anybody here, we would probably take a 4th or 5th rounder and be happy. We are not asking for top 10 picks here.

I just have a hard time understanding how Houston would trade a 2nd round pick to get rid of one QB, but will not trade a 4th or 5th round pick to get another. I guess they will have an open competition between Savage and Weeden for the starting job.

BAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAA............good luck with that Houston!!!

Then tell them ok good luck then, we will just keep him and have the two best qbs in the league and you've got nothing.

Jerry holding Romo .....heard someone say he's playing "Texas hold 'em".:muttley:
They were saying the max theyd hold him is up to when physical activity starts.

Not sure how long before "do-right" goes out the door.
And if so, does Washington then come into play for Romo if eventually waived....if Cousins goes to SF?

Looks like Cousins signing his tender. Does that mean SF in play? I feel like that's where Cutler ends up

I love Romo. But they aren't getting anything better than a 3.

I thought they were trying to win a championship, my mistake.

They were screwed before they cut Osweiler, if that was your point. Cutting him didn't change all that much. Savage outplayed him late in the season anyway, right?

Houston has to budge here. They dont make a trade, Romo will sign with Denver if released. And Houston just wasted a 2018 second to get rid of a contract they didnt have to without Romo.

Todays winner =Cleveland. Pretty much no matter how this plays out
