LOL. Good luck with that. They won't part with much for Romo? Wait until they find out what NE wants for Jimmy G.
I saw a report saying they wanted the 1st pick and a 1st next year for him. Have fun Texans.

But it makes a difference when comparing Romo with "most people".

I don't compare him to most. I compare him to other pro football players but there isn't a huge difference in the common causes of chronic LBP in young people.

I was listening to 105.5 and they had Texans beat writer John Mcclain (who is a real jack wagon) on. He was trying to explain how the Texans didnt need Romo and either way Brock was going to be released and they will draft a qb in the first two rounds. It sounded as if he was coached by the team to say it.

They are built to win now but think Tom Savage could lead them to a Superbowl. Yeah right, Ill buy that lol.
None of the qbs in the draft are ready to play. 2 or 3 will be off the board when they get on the board at 25. The qbs in this draft suck. Good luck.

Only because the Cowboys allow it.
The Cowboys hold the cards. I have thought all along that Jerry really would like to keep him. He will trade him maybe, but he doesn't have to. They can hold him. It is a poker game. Jerry has the best hand. .

I don't know man that seems like an awful lot of credit to give to this FO to have that kind of foresight, but I suppose it's not out of the realm of possibility

I think Houston just shot its wad too early and kicked this whole thing into high gear and bailed out the Jones clown crew in the process
The news he was going to be traded and not released came out HOURS before Cleveland and Houston made their trade.

Not getting a 1st. Lol Texans aren't giving a 2nd to Cleveland to take Brock and turn around and give the cowboys a 1st for Romo. Denver just traded up last year in the 1st to get lynch. They're not giving a 1st, 2 years in a row for qbs. We'll be lucky to even trade him. Even luckier to get a 2nd. No way we're getting a 1st for a 37 yr old qb who hasnt played a meaningful game since 2015. Coming off back surgery in 2016. Preceeded by a clavicle surgery in 2015. Preceeded by another clavicle surgery in 2015. Precceded by missing practice once a week and getting a shot before every game in 2014 because He was coming of back surgery in 2013. We have very little leverage since everyone knows we aren't keeping him.

That's your opinion. That's all it is. It's not a fact so you shouldn't assert as if it is a fact.

Your opinion may turn out to be correct. I believe Romo is worth more than you do. Time will tell what what the compensation is. I hope it is more. I think you hope we get less. I'm not sure why.!

They are not likely haggling over a late round pick. Do you think if either Denver or Houston want Romo they are arguing over the difference between a 5th and a 6th or even a 4th? No. The deal would be done already.

I don't necessarily disagree with this but I cannot say where that cutoff would be with any reliability. I definitely think our chances of getting a top 100 pick have gone up substantially but I would need to hear examples of what we've been offered to be anywhere in the ballpark.

That's the stupidity of this team, why even tip your hand, if you can't reclaim the cap space until June 1, why even say anything, by then what good would that money do this team? The only FA left at that point are just pieces, but not solutions...hang onto Romo until someone is in need of a QB and willing to trade, otherwise let him compete for the starting job. This team needs a GM in the absolute worst way, I don't care how fond Jones is of Tony...this is a business, now lets run this team as a business, trade Romo for the best pick available, I don't care who offers it, take it.

I find the use of multiple emoticons inversely proportional to intelligent replies. I could say more but I'm just not able to constructively reply.

People don't understand what a chronic condition is. Cannot fix willful ignorance.

Just a thought: With Denver giving up a 3rd for to get Lynch and Houston giving up a 2018 2nd, they may be trying to hold onto those day 2's.

I could see it being Dallas wants a 2nd. Denver and Houston wants to give up a 4th.

Not calling that fact, but somewhat plausible senario. To this end that could be where the Siemien talk is from. Denver may be trying to recoup assets used in a Romo trade

How exactly have they tipped their hand?

They said they were going to release him and then didn't. Outside of that you have a bunch of mediots guessing and potential buyers posturing. Why aren't you criticizing them for tipping their hands?

Even that Jerry interview from the combine was nice an ambiguous. He is not kidding when he says he is comfortable with ambiguity. He also understands that most people are not.

Sure but Dallas has no reason to devalue their asset because of their buyer's sunk costs.
