I understand what you're saying. But you're not simply making a comparison between Romo and average Joe with back pain and stopping there.
This discussion is about whether Romo can continue to play with that back pain and take the pounding an NFL quarterback (not an average Joe) takes. And that's where the comparisons fall short. The average Joe with back pain isn't getting hit by 250-300 lb linemen. Romo is and is hoping to continue maintaining his health. So that's a significant factor in this discussion.

No it really isn't significant although I understand why a layperson would think so.

This is what Denver is banking on. It takes 2 to get a trade going. If Denver says no interest in trading, then all Houston has to do is feel like they could easily get him over Denver as a FA...and then no one wants to trade.

Elway has always seemed like a no nonsense guy.
They claim--and this is multiple people working on the staff--that they have not even had a meeting to discuss if they want to pursue Romo.
On the other hand, when Peyton was coming available, they were in closed doors meeting daily for weeks prior.

I don't claim to know anything, but from day one I've got he feeling that Denver is saying what they mean.

I'd be fine with Romo on the roster. Screw both Houston and Denver if they don't give something for a guy that makes them SB favorites in the AFC. Why are teams acting like Romo has no value? Because they think JJ is a joke of a GM. Time to pay up and finish 4th in your own division...

Divorces suck...I dont find it weak. He did his job during the season and was a good teammate. Now its his time to get outta dodge.

And he will, eventually. To try to force the organization's hand is weak IMO.

And if divorces suck and that's the excuse for Romo, then one should not have a problem if the Cowboys now want to sit him on ice and wait out Denver and Houston for a few more weeks.

But knowing the worker tony is...I know he wants to get to work on his new team as fast as possible. He's got new players, new play books, new coaches, etc. to start acclimating to.

Myself, I think that Tony Romo is intensely flexible and ready to produce somewhere.

Not when his interest are in starting. They are giving the job to Dak and moving forward. Romo believes he can still play at a high level and in noncontact camp and practice he will out play Dak.

There is a reason why a person backs up a starter...and the market might actually improve for Tony.

Yeah. No one knows what is going on however if there is mutual interest in Romo something will get done. I would think that the clubs interested would want him in the building sooner than later. For Dallas, that part really doesn't matter as much. Shoot, for all we know, Romo has agreed to take a pay cut and stay in Dallas. Not far fetched. That instagram video didn't speak to a goodbye, it spoke to me as thanks for the support.

You have to be a doctor to realize that if you have back pains and a 300 pound weight lands on you that you might not be as mobile as you were previously or more mobile than the person with the same condition who DIDN'T have a weight land on him?

Some of you are the ones who perpetuate the myth the guy has a bad back and is at risk. I see no evidence he has a chronically bad back. People play football and don't get their backs hurt and have a rougher position than him. Anyone can get hurt on a play but he's at no more risk than anyone else. But nothing I or anyone else says is going to change your mind.

He still has one chronic issue (the disc) and it still happened after the extension.

I still laugh when people refer ti the cyst, as if it is anything.

We aren't talking about a cyst like something on the skin. The cyst Romo had is caused by the dynamics in one's skeletal system that aren't structurally sound.
