I've said for a while that the Brady case is a false equivalence to Zeke's case and the judge agrees. This gives me hope that the fundamental laws of logic still are being adhered to in the justice system.

Brady's case dealt only with violation of the internal rules of the game. Zeke's case cuts into issues of legality and its principles such as fundamental fairness.

How can one prove a negative? There is no proof that Zeke didn't put his hands on the woman in question. The league saw enough evidence of wrong doing to act on it--and that's all they need. The NFLPA granted the league that power. There simply aren't grounds to sue here. If anyone really thinks conspiracy angle is going to hold up--good luck with that. It's a Hail Mary and nothing more.

What a dangerous precedent. Anybody within earshot of an NFL player can produce photos of injuries on themselves, and since the NFL player cannot prove he didn't do it, we can get them a Personal Conduct Policy suspension.

Assuming that's their only evidence--I agree--it's ridiculous. But the NFL is really good at exploiting it's workers.

Trivia time - the word "Kangaroo" was allegedly coined by Captain Cook's crew when they first hit Australia. One of Cook's crew pointed at a Kangaroo and asked an Aboriginal Australian what it was. The Aborigini said "Kangaroo", which means "I have no idea what you are saying"
Love historical trivia... Awesome!

Australians like to mess with Americans about their culture. I had one tell me that if one wanted to get a joey, you had to go and club the mama roo and steal it.

I love their sense of humor over there.
I once worked for a company called Fitovers, a long time ago, when it was first trying to make it into America and the owner was an Aussie and his wife and her gorgeous sister were Kiwis.
Some of the coolest people I have ever worked for.

I was a territory manager over the NE of both the US and Canada. Canada was so hard... Some places insisted you speak French. That wife's sis would come and sit on my lap while I was on the phone, talking to some goob optician and it was so hard to maintain professionalism...

They would tell me about so many things over there like the roadside grocery stores that had no employees. Just a jar that said "Pay what you take". No way that could happen in the States.

So what you are saying is players are assumed guilty until proven innocent?

The case was tried in two different states and dismissed due to lack of credibility of the witness; in other words, the witness was clearly hoping for a pay day. Then the NFL took over the investigation and tasked Kia Roberts with the job of interviewing both parties, Zeke and Tiffany. After several meetings with both, she came to the same conclusions as the courts, siting that the accuser is not credible and that the NFL should not suspend Zeke. The NFL ignored her findings, deciding that despite Tiffany already being caught in several lies, such as a text to a girlfriend requesting she lie on her behalf about Zeke abusing her and even considered extorting money out of Zeke by threatening to release a sex tape, that there was enough evidence to move forward with a suspension.

Whether or not their is a Cowobys bias is questionable; I'm with you there. But considering how the NFL botched Ray Rice, Josh Brown, and Greg Hardy's DV cases, they did need a high profile case to attempt to right their previous wrongs. It's clear the NFL started with a verdict of guilty and then worked their way back to prove it, dismissing any evidence that would suggest otherwise.

He may still be suspended in the end simply because as you pointed out, the NFLPA gave the commish the power to do so. But that doesn't in any way mean that Zeke is guilty. In fact, I'd say I'm fairly confident he's innocent for one very important reason: Before this became an investigation Zeke could have made this go away by simply paying Tiffany what she wanted, which was reportedly enough money to go on a vacation and get a boob job (direct quote from Tiffany's text, btw). But he didn't He maintained his innocence. I'm not saying innocent people don't pay people off to make issues go away, but I'm more inclined to believe someone if they maintain their innocence and don't take the easy way out, which is what Zeke has done.

None of us know what evidence the league has. We assume that it's nothing, but we don't know. But I'm largely with you. I think this whole thing stinks and the NFL looks really bad as a result. Zeke may be innocent, but that doesn't really matter anymore. The only question is: can Zeke's team prove the league conspired to damage him? That's it.

Other evidence? What smoking gun do you think they have that the investigators don't?

Oh, I forgot the NFL are the ones who paid a Doctor that lied about being in the hospital so she wouldn't have to explain her findings during the appeal. Yet you're afraid they have some smoking gun against Zeke? If that was the case why did they leave out Kia Roberts findings during the investigation along with her recommendation to not suspend Zeke... I'll wait for your answer.

That was in November 2014. The conduct policy was revised in December 2014.

He's serving 6 games, whether it happens this year or next. I'll gladly give even odds up to a couple hundred bucks to anyone who thinks otherwise and wants to make some money.

The conduct policy was altered in 2014 unilaterally without collective bargaining. Goodell established the CBA precedent and then changed it without a CBA. Further he gave Brown, Gillette, and others 2 game suspension or less following the 2014 revisal.

You can bet what you want but it appears the Texas judge is going to decide in Zeke's favor. Your meaningless betting makes no difference whatsoever.

We know what is in the report. If there is new information not in the report then that only serves to further Zeke's case. Withholding information so that he could defend himself only strengthens the fairness case.

interesting that you wishcast for damning evidence.

I've responded over and over again with facts and he's ignored everyone one of them.

Also it would help with those "conspiracy" charges. If the league withheld information (which they did see Kia Roberts report). It could be construed as a "conspiracy" against Zeke. But all know "conspiracy" isn't easy to prove, but boy that fundamental fairness does look pretty promising

When women make this serious and sacred charge the world needs to take these victims very very seriously and not judge in a misogynist way

does anyone else find it interesting that Bennett automatically gets the benefit of the doubt (it certainly looks bad for Las Vegas PD, but we don't know facts yet) from Goodell and the NFL

but Zeke was given no benefit or support from his employers when his DV accusations first came out?

i realize they are both very sensitive social issues (DV and Police Brutality) but why the double standard in player support?

one could even argue that there are racial subplots to both: Bennett harassed by police for being black, Zeke told from accuser "they'll never believe a black athlete over a white girl"

Pandering is what the NFL does best these days
