Twitter: Mortensen: Jerry Jones infatuated with Pitts

Like Lamb did last year. There we were last year minding our own business expecting to take Chaisson, and who should fall in our lap but Lamb? Oh, and causing Eagles fans to lose their minds to boot? *chef kiss* Magnificat!
It will be interesting
If Pitts is not there, trade down?

We didn't have a 1st that year because we used it in the trade for Cooper. In effect, Hill was our first pick that draft, and Hill was known to be who our FO wanted. That was mainly a Marinelli idea, but Catch is actually right in what he said about Hill.
Hill looked much better last year before he got hurt.

Depends on who is there and what offers we receive. If we do not get a good offer and Pitts, Surtain, Sewell, and Slater aren't there, then I think our best choices are Barmore, Horn, Parsons (if available), Moehrig, and maybe Collisn from Tulsa. I'd like Parsons the best of that group because he fits the LB need the most. If he's unavailable, then I'd go either Barmore or Horn. Horn would be great, but this draft is loaded with a lot of excellent CB options including Adebo who we can get between rounds 2-4. Moehrig would be my other favourite option, unless we get Grant at 44. If we do, then Barmore is my choice because of the sheer lack of DTs. Moehrig, otherise, is my choice followed by McNeil, Davis/Adebo, and Schwartz (WR Auburn).

I like the idea of a trade down if value is not available

With a trade down you get more chances to hit on a productive player

I have no problem with pitts at 10. Dominant TE can turn this offense from very good into potentially being right below KC in terms of scoring potential.

Then you draft all defense after. Take the bpa in my opinion.

I agree, though, in round 4, even with Pitts, I'd have a hard time passing on Schwartz.

I agree, but, if someone is offering a 1st and a 7th for our 10th, there's no way I take the offer. If, let's say, the Bears offer their 1, 3, 5 this year and a 1 next year, I'm taking that every time for our 10 and saying thank you.
Hope we get fair and decent offers
