And you spend most of your time whining about other posters rather than talking about the Cowboys, day after day after day.

A grown man using the word "hater" 50 times a day. :muttley:
Only the haters hate it.:muttley:

Jerry is Schrodinger's GM. Completely incompetent drunkard when it comes to assembling a team. Also a master gamesman manipulating the media and the rest of the league when it comes to the draft.

Agreed. 3 of the last 6 years no tight end was selected in the first round. Now most tight end prospects don't have Pitts' measurables, and not to say some team wouldn't take him high, but if they did I'd bet a dollar to a donut they would turn him into, or play him like, a wide receiver, despite how he was listed on the team roster....

Here's something many forget when looking at the measurables. The hugely vast majority of college players play against p;layers that never make it to the NFL. So what a college player does against those players is no guarantee that they will have those same types of numbers in the NFL.. Yes we have to look at something but we also have to keep everything in context.

I so hope he gets taken way before 10 in the draft. We are set at WR and TE.

LOL

You don’t get a “bridge solution “ at the most important position in sports when you have the opportunity to pick a franchise QB

If the Jets do this and pass on Wilson they will forever be known as the stupidest organization in the NFL

:facepalm::facepalm:

I do not see Zach Wilson as a sure-fire franchise QB. He could be another Ryan Leaf or Josh Rosen for all we know. BYU played few good teams last year and he was horrible against one good team from what I heard.

The Jets have a bunch of picks next year so they could get their potential franchise QB next year. Who is to say that drafting some offensive weapons this year like TE and WR and a QB next year is not a better way for the long run?

By the way, even if the Jets draft Wilson, I seriously doubt he will be ready until next year so a bridge will be needed anyway.

I could not disagree more
Wilson is an elite QB prospect
He may succeed or bust but as a prospect he has elite traits
The biggest determinants of long term success in the NFL are great GM, great HC and great QB. Of these, great QB is the only draftable position
Also, next years QB class is quite weak and who knows where Jets will be picking
No way would I pass him if I was picking at 2 and needed a QB

There is truth to this as well. Jerry would love watching the national and local press go on and on about his outside the box pick.............. how everyone knows they need defensive help but they took a TE on an already loaded offensive team, blah, blah, blah............... Jerry would eat that up.

Name all the TE's taken in the top 10. The closest one is Gonzalez who went #13.
.
.
TJ Hockensen, Eric Ebron, Vernon Davis, Kellen Winslow Jr. I may have missed one or two, not sure.

I agree that there's a reason they aren't taken high, and all of the above were supposed to light the world on fire and didn't.

Davis played well but was by no means uncoverable.

Pitts would literally have to be the best TE in the games history to live up to the pick.

But....there have been a handful taken in the top 10.
