If there is nO Right ur wRong why did you take the time to do those calculations?

You wanted to discover something that would be neither right, or wrong and have no relevance to anything?

Get in the game! Start with this: There is objective truth, though it often gets clouded.

Cause I wanted to.
OP posted INTs over the course of two years.
I was curious on the breakdown on games played, attempts etc.
If this information is too hard for you to grasp, I'm sorry.

My post wasn't directed to you, and John813 can reply (or not) without you butting in.
It's a forum, if you don't want people replying you're probably better off keeping those thoughts in your head.

The thing is, Dak would far and away be #1 on this list if he hadn’t missed 7 games since 2021.

7 missed games is the only reason Dak is among those guys and not way out in front.
We're making assumptions there but that's a possibility considering last year's trajectory. However, we should also consider the possibility last year could have been an outlier year that skews opinions. Let's look at INT% over all these QBs careers. Dak is pretty much in the same spot. Now whether last year was a fluke INT year or the start of a new trend that hasn't existed over Dak's career we'll find out in 2023.

Josh Allen: 2.3%
Derek Carr: 2%
Joe Burrow: 2%
Matt Ryan: 2.2%
Matt Stafford: 2.4%
Dak Prescott: 2%
Patrick Mahomes: 1.6%
Justin Herbert: 1.8%
Davis Mills: 2.9%
Trevor Lawrence: 2.1%

First, I'm not the biggest Jerry supporter. I think he does bring problems to this team with some of the culture he has established in the organization. There are elements that he has introduced that I feel is not conducive to establishing a winning football organization.

But on the aspect of Dak. I do recall that when Cooper was let go he did state that he was expecting his highly paid QB to take a bigger role in carrying this team. Dak had been paid, and he was one of the more senior QBs in the league.

I think Jerry and the coaches may have found some insight and answers on laying more responsibility on Dak. They have gone out and got him some help this year. They have attempted to address the WR situation.

I am concerned about the RB situation, but MM may West Coast himself out of that issue. Dak is who he is now after this many years in the league. Did Jerry pick the right HC for his QB? Is MM going to call the right plays for his QB? Will the rest of the team step up and play their roles.

This year is going to all land on MM IMO. There is no way out of this. Our HC has had his chance to craft his way to better results, and unfortunately he chose the Cowboys where it is SB or bust.
When Dak and McCarthy fail again (they will because Dak sucks) nothing will change.

Dak will get extended and people will support him.

McCarthy might be the fall guy this time, but another puppet will replace him.
Well, last I checked, there's no 1-800-Elite-QB. Unless we have an absolutely catastrophic season, I don't think we are going to change QB next season as, chances are, we will be picking too high to get a worthwhile replacement, and there are maybe 2-3 QBs next year that I rate. I suspect the Rams are going to be tanking for one of them. Unless I'm supposed to change teams (which, especially with my suit being the way it is, I won't be doing), I don't really have a lot of ways to change the outcome of what the FO chooses. I'm also not one to completely rip the Cowboys every bloody minute of the day. I think if there's criticism that's warranted (which I have done, such as a thread after game one last year), then yeah, I'll give my criticism. But, if there's areas that the team is doing well, then I'll say they're doing well. As I've said, I think the change of offensive philosophy will be good for Dak. He's got two years left on his current deal, so, if he wants an extension, I think the pressure is on for him. Not to mention that the FO was reluctant to give him this past deal. Now then, I've made my points perfectly clear at this point. I don't see a reason to rehash them any further at this point. Especially since you won't answer my questions.
If you don’t have a great QB then you should be trying to find a great QB.

You should never pay “decent enough” elite money.

The fans should not support that junk and allow the FO passes on it. It only hurts the team you’re supposed to be a fan of.

This organization don’t even try when it comes to trades or free agency. A big part of that is the fans have enabled them and turned into casuals that don’t really care as long as they’re entertaining each week.

Exactly, and, with Dak only having 2 years left on his current deal, I think the pressure is on for him to improve from what he did last year. Especially with what should be a more favourable offense for him.

As I've said, I don't expect Dak to get an extension if he carries on his form from last year. That being said, I can't really change what the FO does. And how exactly do you suppose I not "support that junk"? Again, you and I say words on a forum. A forum that Jerry probably doesn't read. So, I'm not quite sure what you expect. I know with Premier League Football, the supporters will usually have banners in the stands saying for example "Glazers Out", but that doesn't really work.

I fully expect Dak to get an extension regardless of how he plays.

Because Jerry knows the majority of Cowboys fans are casuals that just want to be entertained each week.

I'd be less than thrilled by him getting another extension, and I explained to you numerous times why I supported the original extension. However, I do think we ought to be able to find a QB in this upcoming draft. The trouble is, the Rams are probably going to try to get the 1 overall pick, so that probably takes Caleb Williams off the board straight away. I'm sure this college football season will reveal a lot, but he's one of only 3 QBs that I rate at this moment that are in a position to be highly. All 3 of which, I expect to be gone as I think we are looking like a team that will probably win at least 12 regular season games again. If our defence stays healthy and if Dak takes to the new offense like I would expect as I think the WCO is more favourable to his style, then I think we probably can make the NFCC. But, if he can't adjust to the WCO, then yeah, I think a replacement would be in order, but the QB pickings next year look rather slim.

Fair point, however, I don't think there's anyone that expects Dak to ever reach the lofty levels of performance that he managed in 2016-2017.
Dak's stats, since injury, are closer to expected projection.

Why salivating, seems like he has a lot of company among guys that are elite.
Because they love to make excuses for every single one of those on the list that Prescott does not get... They're not gonna point out all the times last year where Prescott was following through and had his jersey grab from behind or had his arm hit from the front on a follow through or had a ball tipped at the line or a tipped off a wide receiver 's hands or somehow had routes being run in the same exact area or wrong or the wrong read by the wide receiver.... I mean or worse somehow they make excuses for the offensive line they had 11 penalties in 2021 that pretty much bombed the game at in the three boneheaded ones on defense and some bad play calling and no run game yet oh Prescott can't win a game against the Niners or in 2022 again no run game the offensive line is not getting any push they're getting stood up they're getting manhandled they're not creating any holes for the run game it pretty much leaves your offense exposed and yet why can't Prescott beat the Niners.

Why can't Prescott get out of the second round against the Rams oh I don't know maybe the defense gave up 273 yards and pretty much owned the first half in time of possession cut the possession times for our offense again where was the run game in the creative offense? Oh my God why can't Prescott win a playoff game I don't know maybe because Aaron Rodgers ate up our defense like they would played high school football while Prescott the offense came back every single time until there was no time left but hey don't complain about the overtime rules for Josh Allen when his defense couldn't stop anybody because he didn't get another chance to come back and win but oh it's different Prescott's rookie year he should have probably went to the Super bowl if we had any kind of defense..

Or how about we just use Pmanning career the memes been going around the guy started his career basically three and six in the playoffs had twice as many interceptions in the same 97 game stretch and yet he's considered elite because he's got a Super Bowl that took him over seven years to get his first one and yet everyone says Prescott can't win a Super Bowl he's already showed why he can't yet oh Peyton Manning the great Peyton Manning how about our own Troy Aikman 141 interceptions in his career only 165 touchdowns the guy was surrounded by Hall of Fame players and the best coaches in the league and still made mistakes that's crazy I mean man the excuses for the rest of that oh it was the era Troy had it worse no Troy had it better Roger Staubach had it better they had better coaching better players teams win championships your teams that show up at the right time at the right moment and play together that's why guys like Trent dilfer and Nick Foles have rings it's not because they were better quarterbacks they were on better teams they caught fire at the right time

h that's my point Prescott it's not elite it's not perfect but he's also not been the sole reason we're losing in the playoffs neither was Tony Romo these guys were not afforded the teams that Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman are held a high regard here had in their careers it just didn't hit right that's it it's a timing thing the offensive defensive special team somebody's always making a mistake maybe the rest something's always happening yes we're snake bit but don't blame the quarterbacks yes they could have played better but when a guy like Matthew Stafford could have 17 interceptions basically more than 20 turnovers and still win a Super Bowl in which he threw two interceptions and just shows you what a stronger team can do better coaching better teams win championships

The last part defines the great QBs. Those who can rise above the situation and do their part no matter how difficult the decisions tend to win the big games.
True, but even the great ones throw interceptions/make bad decisions at times. They have to have defenses and running games that bail them out during those times and give them the opportunity to rise above and win big games. We put too much emphasis on winning when it comes to defining great QBs in a team game. Dan Marino is always a good example of a great quarterback who never won the biggest game and didn't have many opportunities to because the team that he was on wasn't good enough. Frankly, I think Romo would be held in higher regard if his teams had been better. He certainly deserved a better fate than he got in 2014. If the team had played up to his level then, he might have a Super Bowl victory and be a Hall of Fame contender.

Burrows since 2021:
780 completions, 1126 Attempts, 69 TDs, 26 INTs 32 games
1 INT per 43.3 attempts from 21-23
1 INT per 50.5 attempts in 2022-23

Mahomes:
871 C, 1,306 A, 78 TDs, 25 INTs 34 games
1 INT per 52.2 attempts from 21-23
1 INT per 54 attempts in 22-23

Prescott:
671 completions ,990 attempts, 60 TDs, 25 INTs, 28 games.
1 INT per 39.6 attempts from 21-23

HATER ALERT!!!!!!!!
how dare you post stats in a post showing vague stats to prove a point, but apparently not to prove a point when asked

Not to mention the idea that somehow, we have any say as to what happens with Dak. Jerry's going to do what he's going to do, and we don't have a say in it. As stated, he's a solid enough QB.

A QB’s play always dictates whether he gets a contract or not. And for the haters like Mountainofbull who thinks it’s solely Jerrys decision just shows how little they know.

Exactly, along with the availability of talent. If the FO and coaches think that Dak is better than what's available, then they'll keep Dak. That's the bottom line.
