Right this minute, I'd say it Flozell Adams. I have never been in love with his play and I was never a fan of his contract. The focus has been off him because he was out for so long and we really saw what happens when you take a guy off the streets and try to turn him into a LT. I think he gets the bennafit of the doubt but his play before he went out was not great IMO. He has had one decent season IMO. Nothing more or less. The other's have been OK but not great. You look at his contract and I just don't think his play matches his price tag.

All time, I think it was Glenn. He cost way too much and produced way too little.

From a fan perspective, I think it was Bill Bates. When he played there were so many fans who would tout him as one of the best Safeties in the league. The reality was that he was very limited in coverage to the point of liability. I just never thought he was very good. I liked him, but I never believed he was anything more then a limited STs and Nickle role player. JMO.

C'mon man. You saw first hand what happens when Flozell is out of the offense. Bledsoe goes from Pro Bowl QB to washed out QB. Petitti goes from promising rookie to draft flop. Bill goes from "right on track" to "too conservative." Witten's numbers drops. The rushing game struggles. There is no way people can still think Flozell Adams is overrated. He's only been to one Pro Bowl, it's not like Larry Allen, where he was still going ever year after prime.

Wow... that's almost as shocking as the TNew is overrated comment.

EVERYONE? Really? EVERYONE has said he's the next LT?
You don't think Carolina wishes they would have had a better gameplan to handle him?

The only reason I would consider him overrated is that he couldn't produce even close to his numbers in Tampa Bay. Much like Larry Brown, Jimmie Jones, Kevin Gogan and Ken Norton, he wasn't truly great, but got paid like it in the early days of free agency.

Gogan and Norton were very good players , even after they left....

That's insane. Bates was one of the five best special teams players in history. Davis is barely even mediocre on special teams and isn't among the top 10 of active players.

You do remember that the NFL created the special teams spot in the pro bowl basically because of Bates right?

Honestly I've NEVER seen him miss a tackle because he was looking for a big hit. I have all of last year's game footage so if you'd like to prove me wrong feel free to tell me when during what game. The only tackle I remember him really missing is against Gonzo.... and he wasn't even looking for the big hit then.

Well, my friend, you've been seeing but not watching. There have been several instances where Roy has not only missed tackles in an attempt to KO the enemy, he's almost injured his own players in the process.
One missed tackle....:laugh2:. You've just exposed yourself Mr. Simpson.

Do you honestly think one would go through every game and select a specific time frame for you to view?

I'll get back to you when I retire.

Chad Hutchison, Quincy Carter, Drew Henson ...

All not-so-good curveball hitters.

Alvin Harper.
I hated to see him go but he benefited hugely by the Emmit-Irvin-Novacek coverage.
I remember reading in a magazine about his signing with Tampa Bay:
"If the Buccaneers think they have a number one receiver, they're in for a surprise".

He wasnt overrated he was just well liked, big difference. He was an excellent special teams player but not much more, but he was hard nosed and always left it out on the field.

while I agree that Bates isn't overrated and was a hell of a ST'mer, Parcells thinks Davis is a Pro Bowl ST'mer

it's obvious you didn't see the 1st game and don't understand football, because that was Aaron Glenn who got beat twice

The most annoying people are the ones that comment on a subject when they're basing their entire perspective on a very LIMITED knowledge of the subject. That's probably the only 2 games he's ever seen Roy Williams play.

True enough. Their usernames are usually a dead give away.
