I'm shocked at these responses.

Mariota is the real deal.

He is standing behind a line that drafted two o-linemen in the j1st round the previous two years. .

His WR is a 1st round pick, his TE is a Pro Bowler.

Now he gets a RB that led the league two seasons ago. Murray is an excellent blocker, he is a solid receiver, in fact, the Cowboys 3rd leading receiver during his four years in Dallas.

The Titans aren't going to screw around with Murray, they aren't going to make the same mistakes as the Eagles. They are going to put him comfortably in their system and they are going to feature him.

Murray will be Mariota's insurance policy, the same way Aikman used his RB's.

It was a great move for the Titans and there are too many smug comments for me not to copy and save on this thread......some of you guys got impressive stones with your confidence. We will see, I guess.

good post, If they can get murray some holes to run thru, they could have a good run game, which could help Mariotta.

Dallas was at least talking to philly about a trade, but again was beat out !

Seems Murray sought out the trade with Tenn.

i will say if they peddle mathews they are going after zeke in the draft...that would be far worse than seeing the traitor twice a year would be like seeing moss twice a year..so it is my opinion this trade could very well be bitter sweet

So if it was a conditional 6th, they could turn around and flip him to Dallas for a 5th and own philly nothing. That would be hilarious to see happen. Maybe Murray really did orchatrate his way back to Dallas without anyone knowing it.

It alwasy

Problem is I never uttered anything even close to that.

All I said is that it's funny that the Eagles are trying to purge bad contracts and yet here we still with Brandon Carr still holding a roster spot today.

It's not panicking on my part. It's pointing out a reality. For whatever reason, the front office of the Cowboys just can't seem to get over Brandon Carr and his cruddy contract.

They can't (up to now anyway) because there was no alternative.

They failed on their evaluation of "the best CB to come out of college since Deion Sanders" and outside of Scandrick (who was injured last year) who have they developed?

They have been in a bind largely of their own making.

We'll see what happens this year.

You wanted Murray?

No i didnt want Murray back!!! Although i think he fits very well in TENN and it is rather shocking to me since Murray's running style would suit them fine in philly with what they will be running this year. That being said.i meant i give them credit for starting to fix there problems in a one year time span and we sit with our problems for 3-4 yrs and complain about it year in and year out.

Murray only had a 5m signing bonus and Maxwell's was only 6m. PHI doesn't give big signing bonuses but pays large base salaries.

They reported they renegotiated away some of the other guarantees to later years.

Murray had a SB 5.0 million, Roster Bonus 3.0 million, and a Base 1.0 million in 2015
They accounted against the cap in 2015 1.0 million of the SB and all of the RB and Base.

Maxwell had a SB 6.0 million, Roster Bonus 6.5 million, and a Base 1.0 million in 2015
They accounted against the cap in 2015 1.2 of the SB and all of the RB and Base.

Sorry but if I played for Dallas no other team could get me to leave. Don't care how much more money they offer. So please don't say 100 percent because not everybody is the same

I'm not speaking on NFL terms I'm speaking just life in general. At your current job..... You go above and beyond your dutys at work. Will you not want a raise and to be compensated for your work?

I run my own business. I pick what I make so no I wouldn't leave to go somewhere else where I have a boss telling how much I make.

No I wouldn't take a job just because they pay more. Depends on if I'm happy where I'm at or not

Well that's a selfish way of thinking. It's not just about you. It's about your family as well.you have to do what's best for them too.

anyone who characterizes Murray's move to the Eagles as traitorous is ignoring the timeline of events and the facts associated with those events.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...marco-murray-dallas-cowboys-disagree-on-value

At last check, Dallas had a four-year deal worth slightly more than $16 million on the table, according to Rapoport.

It's an insulting offer for a player who was saddled up to carry the team on his legs for the majority of the franchise's best season in nearly a decade.

Management, as well as fans, ran DeMarco Murray out of town. For another Murray, it was about respect and I cant blame him.

Murray started his career with the 4th best rookie season for a RB in Cowboy history. Two of the top 3 are in the Hall of Fame, the other was Rookie of the Year that season. He ran for over 700 yards his first 7 games.

That was 2011. Where was this elite O-line back then?

The Cowboys should have extended his contract with a real offer durinf tje season, perhaps around tje time he broke Jim Brown's 50 year old record for consecutive 100 yard games to start a season.

Of all the times to "devalue" the RB position, it has to be when the Cowboys had the most dominating running attack in the NFL? Brilliant.

Is Demarco Murray even a lock to make the Titans team? I wouldn't be surprised if he is cut late in camp. If the Titans aren't on the hook for a lot of guaranteed money, then he could very well be booted if he shows less than the other RBs on the squad.

Not out of the realm of possibilities that Murray could be back with the Cowboys at no draft pick cost.
