Mutually Parting Ways with Kellen Moore

Parcells had all he could take from keeping Booger from his tendencies. Imagine how fatiguing that must have been. He took an extra million to stay another year because he was building his dream retirement home in Saratoga.

Booger brought Owens in, the last player Parcells wanted to see and I think that set the wheels in motion of moving on.
It was the usual with Jerry. One guy has a plan and does the work, then he swoops in with a free agent splash and takes the credit. He was even cracking jokes about BP after his Garrett/Phillips clown show was in place. I’m sure Owens was the icing on the cake, but I’m also sure the everyday nuisance of working with Jerry wore thin before that.

Okay if Moore was so bad, how did Cooper Rush win five games? Is Cooper just that good or did Moore do a great job? You can't have it both ways.

Rush is a good bus driver but that's looking at it in a vacuum. Our defense was the best it was all season in those 5 games, probably because they knew with Dak out, we'd be scoring less.

Yeah, the defense just happen to be the best of all the season and Rush sucked and Moore was clueless. That results in 4 wins against good teams. Why can't the team carry dak?

Is there something new in this?

Don’t want to brag, but I first got a tip that Moore was leaving in January.

It was only available at some behind the scenes, insider only sources like the front page of nfl.com.

Whoops! Looks like you got the same scoop as I did from the same source at the same time … six months ago.

When Parcells showed up we were a laughing stock. When he left we were a Super Bowl contender. It would have been great if he'd stuck around a few more years but, man, am I grateful that we had him for as long as we did. Jerry and his acolytes would have never turned things around without Tuna.
Super bowl contenders?

So then how did we win all these games with Dak as well, with also a bad coach and bad GM. See how that works? I guess we actually have a pretty good team with a pretty good coach, they all can't be bad at once.

A lot of fans are going to be fixated on how the Chargers offense compares with ours this season. It’s going to get pretty nasty here if their offense takes off under Moore and ours takes a step back under McCarthy and Schottenheimer. We had some very productive, high scoring offenses under Kellen Moore. The OC change was all about trying to improve Dak.

But yet here you are. Meanwhile with you hating him so much, he loves you equally as much lol.
Yes. It’s a mixed bag of emotions. While Jethro is the most hated sports personality in the DFW area ( my home town) the Cowboys remain the most beloved and supported sports team.

I’ve always said we don’t have to support all of the moving pieces to support the sum. There’s many business and entities I don’t necessarily support the leadership or policies but I have continued being a patron.

Another analogy is we often continue living and supporting the country we live in while not always supporting its leadership and direction often speaking out with criticism for change.

The OC change was about winning in the playoffs.

He’s so clueless. They won in spite of Rush not because of him and he knows that he’s just playing dense.

What?

10-6
6-10
9-7
9-7

I liked him and some of the things he did and think he was a great NFL coach, but never felt like he made us contenders.

To quote the man himself.

“Let’s not break out the annointing oil”

Yes, but at some point will we expect more success . Like in the playoffs. Or is this current level of success enough to continue with status quo? That is the bigger conundrum.

And we might be ok with this level of success. After almost 3 decades since our last championship perhaps the bar has been lowered. These are questions with potentially different answers depending on a fans perspective.

so Rush is as good or better than dak. I see how it works. do you? Moore sucks but
Rush is as good as dak. lmao

Id be upset too....

theres a time to be basic and theres a time to be cute...im not sure if he can tell the difference...running it straight up the gut isnt a good strategy for a full game (unless a team is weak there)

but the goalline isnt a cute place....its where you get predictable because its "my guys are better than yours...you have Elliot slam it up the gut he'll get in there
What if the OC doesn't feel his guys are better than theirs?
