I can't wait to get back to talking with everyone about our cowboys .
On 6/22 I had a heart attack and on 6/26 I underwent triple bypass surgery. Since then the biggest obstacle is the addition of congestive heart failure which hopefully can improve enough to be released and return home.i won't be posting for awhile but I do hope to read articles from time to time.

Don't mean to be preach but I think it might be a good time to stress how important an annual physical is - especially

for a lot of us here that are 50 and over. I know a lot of us are old school and won't see a Doctor unless something major happens but I know of countless stories about guys our age that have serious issues that could have been controlled but for a simple blood test.

Again to Cowboy Ron - stay positive, I know how hard it is to be in a hospital like that with something as serious as you have.

We're all pulling for you, hope we hear from you soon.

Just a quick update friends......I still have a long ways to go...I just spent 6 weeks and 2 days in the the cardiac ICU unit at uthealth in Tyler due to congestive heart failure pumping at a 10-15% rate currently. I'm being admitted on Tuesday to the Dallas v.a. hospital try a new procedure they want to try out....I guess you guys will know if I don.t get back on here it didn't work...and I wasn't a smoker. Take care and hope to get occasional updates on the season from you guys.
