Good luck my friend! You're definitely an 'experienced veteran' and someone we should all learn from. When the doc instructed you to avoid any and all things stressful in your life, you immediately stopped your daily routine of spending countless hours on this site. A wise man you definitely are. And I'm sure you're not the first or the last person to require a hospital stay, from having to read all of the 'positive' posts here, so keep that head held high!

I can't wait to get back to talking with everyone about our cowboys .
On 6/22 I had a heart attack and on 6/26 I underwent triple bypass surgery. Since then the biggest obstacle is the addition of congestive heart failure which hopefully can improve enough to be released and return home.i won't be posting for awhile but I do hope to read articles from time to time.

Prayers good buddy. I went through a series of heart attacks a few years ago. Recovery ain't easy, but you can do it.

Just a quick update friends......I still have a long ways to go...I just spent 6 weeks and 2 days in the the cardiac ICU unit at uthealth in Tyler due to congestive heart failure pumping at a 10-15% rate currently. I'm being admitted on Tuesday to the Dallas v.a. hospital try a new procedure they want to try out....I guess you guys will know if I don.t get back on here it didn't work...and I wasn't a smoker. Take care and hope to get occasional updates on the season from you guys.

You've got this! Remember that a positive attitude is key when dealing with recovery. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Even though I don't personally know you, just being a Dallas Cowboy fan is all it takes. We're brothers for life.

His last post was a little too cryptic for me. I feel like we're waiting for the call like in "Apollo 11".

It would be hard to explain to someone who doesn't experience this how one can form attachments and relationships with people we've never met in person with the only thing we have in common from the beginning, fans of the same team.

I come here expecting to see familiar monikers, and most fellow smart ***** like Ron, and it just doesn't feel right when someone's missing and I am glad he's kept us involved with that's going on in real life for him. Put's in perspective what's truly important and it's not some game.

He spent 44 days in the cardiac unit before moving to Dallas and it's only been 15 days so I am going to stay on the positive side of this that it's working and just taking a little more time for him to regain his strength. But I didn't like that part about if he doesn't come back here, we'll know. That's the part that hit me.
