My issue with Bosa at 4

Let me start by saying, im assuming we bring Hardy back. If we don't, im much more open to it but still wouldn't be thrilled.

With that said, under the assumption we bring Hardy back, Bosa makes no sense to me. First, he is projected a LDE. Yes you want to take BPA, but only if it's a position of importance drafting that high. In our scheme, the LDE is to the RDE as the 1T is to the 3T. Im not drafting a run stopping guy whose gonna get a few sacks if my draft position is the 4th spot.

Some will argue and say Guard isn't a crucial spot and look how Martin turned out with the BPA method in mind. My response to that is it was a middle of the first round choice (16th i believe). If im in the top 5 im drafting two types of players: QB if he is the BPA and im in need, or a BPA player at what is considered a crucial position (RDE, 3T, CB, QB, LT).

If Bosa falls to us and no QB is left, I hope we trade back and grab Ramsey or Elliott

If Bosa falls to #4 I sprint to the podium with the card and laugh while doing so, unless the cowboys FO grades Goff/Lynch as potential franchise quarterbacks.

Exactly...............The top 4 players in this draft are Tunsul, Goeff, Lynch, and Bosa...............at pick 4 we are guaranteed one of them.

Don't get cute here Jerry.

I tend to agree. If you look at his film you see powerful player who can seal edge but I don't see burst or pass rushing moves to consistently get to QB. IF I am using top 4 pick he has to be game altering talent (guys like: Ramsey, Goff, Treadwell, Jack).

I tend to think Bosa is a little on the overrated side, but calling him a "run stopping guy whose gonna get a few sacks" is a pretty big overstatement. IF he were to reach his potential I'd say he has the potential of a great run stopper who also gets 8-12 sacks a year. Most years that may not warrant a top 5 pick, but I don't see 5 others guys better honestly.

I don't think Bosa is the next JJ Watt, like some proclaim. I think he's the next Jared Allen. Is that worth the 4th overall pick when we already have Hardy, Gregory, and Lawrence?

Someone actually said Bosa would be the next JJ Watt?

I don't want Hardy back. Not unless no one else wants him and he comes back for several million less than than what he got last year.

I remember Bosa's dad. He was a #1 pick DT by the Dolphins out of Ohio State.

He was a massive bust and was out of the league in 3 years... didn't even make it through his rookie contract.

I'm not saying son = dad, however, it's a worry.

Yeah, I recall Derek Carr's brother choking it up and Derek is actually doing good. You never know with these things.

I want to bring Hardy back but even if we don't I don't see a position for Bosa.

We have DLaw at LDE, TCrawford at 3T, Hayden/FA at 1T and RGregory/Hardy at RDE and Nickel

Add guys like Russell, Irving, McClain, Walker and I don't see the snaps.

I didn't see him make a single play for the first three minutes of that video. Got a little bull rush to him but he seems to stop if his initial pop doesn't gain him an advantage. I've heard him compared to Watt. Well he certainly runs himself out of plays trying to get the QB like Watt does.

There is downside to just about every high pick except Tunsil. He wont be there and they wouldnt pick him.

I can't help but believe that Bosa will be the biggest reach coming into the NFL draft this year and will sucker some GM into taking him inthe first round..

I just hope like hell Will McClay goes in a different direction if he's onthe board when Dallas is at the podium

ddint know that,i heard his brother is good too.I think Bosa is worth the 4th pick .He is really great against the run and can take on double teams with ease. The only problem is that we might have to move Lawrence back to the weak side.
