My Observations From Being at the Game

Well from what I saw on TV it was better than patient...in fact, after the last series, he said "Good job" to Henson...but I wanted to get a better sense of what the interaction was from someone who was there.

Did you see him say "you stink" to Torrin Tucker?

...post that we need to really focus on the third game of preseason to get a feel for what our final roster looks like and what the player's look like with their game faces on.

Hos, will you be able to attend that game? It would be great to get another view of the team in contrast to this one.

Unfortunately no I won't be able to. I am hopeful that we have reports from eyewitnesses to each game we play this season.

If it were up to me, yes. I'd go in another direction. It's not personal. I haven't bashed him at all this off season even though I am firmly on Henson's bandwagon. I liked his accuracy but he does not have a big league arm.

I liked him but no. Hines Ward is a truly underated star in this league. I think Crayton is more elusive and he will get better. That is a very lofty goal. I'd love it if he can achieve it.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Crayton reminds me of a younger Rod Smith of the Denver Broncos.

I forgot to mention that Zuriel Smith played very well last night. He's noticably bigger than previous years and played hard.

I'll start with Dale. He is every bit as impressive in person as he is in posts. There is not a doubt in the world that he is a genuine good guy. I did something really stupid when I went to pick him up at the team hotel. I left my camera in the car. I got to meet Roy Williams, Marcus Spears, and Jason Witten. Could have had pics too. Duh.

I read this earlier and didn't think anything of it, but didn't Spears stay in Oxnard. I thought that was what the media reported.

If it wasn't him it was someone who looks an awful lot like him. I assumed it was him. People behind me were screaming "Marcus." I was busy wishing Roy Williams well. I could be wrong.

I was just curious. Media has been wrong in the past.

I very well could be wrong Junk. It was Roy with him. I wasn't focused on who Roy was with. I took the word of the people behind me. Truthfully I didn't get that good a look at him. I talked to Roy and he talked back. If I had taken my camea we'd know for sure, but like I said, it was int he car. Dale laughed at me for that one.

BTW, he didn't mention Marcus not being there to me. Not that it means it was him. I truthfully don't know.

Thanks to this board (reality) i now know i can walk outside and yell "blindzebra" and he could probably hear me. great to meet all ya guys and glad we could do it, hopefully again for a playoff game if dreams really do come true!!
Sorry we couldnt hook up for the Newhouse meet n greet, he was super cool!! I'm gonna drop my pics in the preseason game one thread. Once again real cool to see that 2 different boards can come together as cowboys fans and have a blast!!

I do NOT put this on our OL because they gave him time. Yes, AZ's D was great last night, but he had 4 to 5 seconds on many throws. I doubt Romo or Henson had that on more than 1 or 2 apiece. On one of Henson's he had that time because of a scramble more than the OL.

I'm fairly new to this board but you are good peeps for sure and thanks for what you do for this forum.

I also counted the time D.Bledsoe had to throw the ball VS. everyone else, and he had plenty of time. It amazes me that someone who has been in the league that long could still not understand that he can't stay back there all day.

About Henson and Romo....

Listening to Aikman during the game last night, it couldn't be more opposite than what you said in your post.

Personally, I don't think that our "franchise" QB is even on our roster at this point.

Just my take on the post taken with what Aikman was saying last night.

Well if you heard Aikman last year, he was saying the same thing. He is of belief that if someone is was worth being a Franchise QB, BP would have started them instead of Vinny. Aikman is of the thinking you don't wait to develop QBs and that you throw them to wolves as soon as possible, considering most other franchises do that, from what I gather by his comments. BP is opposite of that and probably one of the last few NFL coaches who think that way seems like.

From hearing Aikman or Irvin for that matter, I really doubt they have any insight on QB situation of Cowboys. Its much like Pat Summerall or any other Media so called Friend's of BP saying what they believe or interpreting BP.

From three years of BP analyzing, this much is certain, any media person who says he knows what BP is thinking or Cowboys organization is thinking of in terms of QB or any other player, I really take it with a grain of salt.
