I didn't see him hesitate at all. On kick coverage as a wedge buster he was full speed ahead and made a great stop.

He had the only interception too, right? Was that a tip or did he snatch it out the air?

Noticed Ratliff in the game a few times......any observation on this kid.
Yes, he is wide across the shoulders and does not take bad angles at all. He will be a player.

How many times did you cuss Tucker during the 3rd and 50?

Thanks for your analysis Hostile. Much appreciated.

I have to disagaree with some of your views. Though I wasn't at the game, you can still get a good feel for a teams performance by watching them on the tube, so ... Bledsoe really didn't have much time in the pocket. The line really played below par as a whole, so I can't completely blame his performance solely on him. The Cowboys couldn't run the ball , so the defensive line was able to pin back their ears and rush Bledsoe. As far as Romo not being able to throw the long ball or throw it with authority, I think he can, and I'm basing this on last years performance. I think he has a good arm -- not a great one, but a good one. It's all relative. The question should be, "Does he have a weak arm, or just not a super strong arm?" I don't think he's a weak-armed quaterback. And as for Henson, I think he did a good job: he was under control, made good decisions, showed some accuracy, and -- thank God -- didn't have that deer in the headlights stare.

I'm not a fan of any of the Cowboy's quarterbacks yet. Whoever wins the starting job will have my hopes and support, but he's gonna have to perform a few comebacks, have a few excellent games, and get us to the playoffs, and hopefully beyond, before I become a fan. In other words, their gonna have to earn my respect and loyalty. That's how it should be ... IMHO. :)

I'm not saying he had a lot of time. But he did have more than Romo or Henson.

That is 100% true BP. These people were as good a group of people as I have ever had the privilege to meet in my life. We have some great people as fans of this team. I'd get together for a game with these guys and their families any time and feel damned privileged to be around them again.

...like you are as nice a guy as anyone would ever be. I've got to find a way to get out of Canada and attend either a game or TC.

I hope you are right.

I don't subscribe that he put these players in a position to look average, but that does make me feel better if so.

I did hear some postgame comments that Parcells and Zimmer decided to stick more in the 3-4 rather than match up against the Cards 3 WR base sets for the purpose of getting players more comfortable with the scheme...dont know how true it is until I watch Tivo but thats what I heard Spags say

Thanks David. If you read about me somewhere else my saying this was hideous. (That's the nicest way I can put it.)

About Henson and Romo....

Listening to Aikman during the game last night, it couldn't be more opposite than what you said in your post.

Personally, I don't think that our "franchise" QB is even on our roster at this point.

Just my take on the post taken with what Aikman was saying last night.

I couldn't hear Aikman last night so there is no way I can respond one way or the other.

Oops, wish I had seen this before explaining it too.

Man, we got to do that again.

...before we anoint him with any declarations we should let him prove it on the field this year. With that said I am rooting for him to make last year a faded memory.

On defense I would have to say it was a toss up between Al Singelton and Bradie James as to who really was on their A Game.

...as some believe that Singleton will become bench material I can't believe that BP will not keep as many vets in this defence to ease the transition.

No biggie....I understand that.

Right now, I am just pretty convinced that the starter of the future isn't on this team.

The whole Romo/Henson/Bledsoe/insert name here diatribe is getting old.

IMO, we need to just draft a QB and start anew.....and draft one that was good in college....not just a run-of-the-mill type guy.

Romo was very good in college, albeit Div II, I believe. Henson was also good in college.

Let me put it this way and give the answer to this question to someone who is so much more reliable than I am.

Per Brad Sham, whom I think is one of the great football minds as far as writers that there is. He said, "there is a Super Bowl feel about the way this team practices."

Now, I was not impressed last night. The team was flat as a whole and the play calling was unimaginative. I am saying this purely from the standpoint of someone who was in the stands not in the meetings. It looked to me like Parcells pulled back on purpose last night for much of the game.

In other words, I think he got just what he wanted. A lackluster game to be angry this week in TC about. I think they were too comfortable with how things were going. I think he was secretly quite pleased last night. I say this for one reason only. On the sidelines he was not a raving lunatic, he was a teacher. It was strange to see him that calm. I bet it didn't last in the Locker room, bus, and flight.

...post that we need to really focus on the third game of preseason to get a feel for what our final roster looks like and what the player's look like with their game faces on.

Hos, will you be able to attend that game? It would be great to get another view of the team in contrast to this one.

Like I said Ben. There was no pop on any throw that I saw. If he has a gun he was not showing it last night. Bledsoe and Henson did.

Call him Kojak because it was all lollypops.

...anything that would open the door for another QB to join the team?
