thanks guys, i thought it was a good post, and i thought if you were interested as senator specter said, he is looking for public support, so if we get the word out there and let specter know, then we can get what should have been done to the patriots,

it really bugs me when goodell came down hard on players and coaches and said coaches should be held more accoutable, but he didnt do anything;

then they the nfl has the gall to say, with walsh in patriouts gear at the pre super bowl walkthrough, that he didnt violate rules,

come on,no other team is suppose to be viewing your walkthrough, thats out and out cheating, AGAIN ALL THAT IS, IS A BIG FAT COVERUP

i hope now that specter can prove that goodell fishtailed, and the taints him as such, ruining goodells reputation, then let goodell deal with that;

You know what is just as bad? Belicheat telling Goodell and everyone it was a misinterpretion of the rule when he and everyone else knows it was intentional cheating, plain and simple.

In Federal court, the court adds penalties to the punishment if the defendant will not admit guilt to the crime. Belicheat insults Goodell and everyone's else's intelligence by not admitting he was intentionally violating a rule and cheating.

I think it comes down to the Pats cheated and were above the curve as far as cheating goes. Goodell and the rest of the owners were/are afraid that when you have a team that's gone 86-26 since 2001 with 3 Super Bowls it's going to comprimise the integrity of the game. And when a team has that type of success despite going 5-11 the season before and with a head coach that went 41-55 before the 2001 season, it looks much worse.

It's obvious to anybody with a reasonably objective mind that Goodell has been trying to brush this off and sweep it under the rug. I refuse to believe he's that stupid to destroy the original evidence. Since the beginning it's been a case of the Pats lying and Goodell trying to blow it off like no big deal while sweeping it under the rug. Then once Specter has gotten involved, it's amazing how many things have been uncovered, like it not being an isolated incident, like it not only dating back to 2006, Matt Walsh, offensive and defensive signals being taped, and as Matt Walsh stated the Pats being able to anticipate about 75% of the teams calls.

I really believe that if this was a much less successful team doing it, they would've been punished MORE. But since the Pats have been so successful, rightfully punishing them would make the NFL look like a sham since 2001.

The bottom line for me is that the Patriots legacy is tarnished by these events. It doesn't matter whether they were successful at cheating or not. Fat is, they got caught and they got caught lying about it. I hope we see "Bellicheck lied" signs this year. I can't think of a team that is more despised than the '07 Patriots.

The Patriot era will be a forgotten time in the future. I see them falling off soon. I don't think the NFL wants to do much more because the league doesn't want a tarnished champion. That just doesn't look good for the credibility of the league. I mean, it's the NFL, if it were college it'd be different. Who cares about cred in college? lol (I must add I am a huge fan of college football)

The Pats aren't the only team who has done this, they are the ones who got CAUGHT. Because of them, cheating will be much harder for everyone.

It should be interesting to see what kind of success they have in the upcoming season. I personally think they still contend for the super bowl (wheeew bold prediction huh? lol) but they are gonna fall and fall hard soon before our eyes.

I wanted Dallas and NE in the super bowl for awhile there. Now that the boring Giants have beat them, I don't care. I just really really really need to see Jerry holding up the Lombardi trophy.

i forgot to add another thing guys about belicheater, not sure if you guys know this or not, but belicheck the chater awhile back was seeing a married woman and sending her gifts,

now that shows how arrogant he is, what gets me, the nfl knows all of this stuff he has done, yet goodell the whus puts up with it,

you can sure bet if it was another head coach or even someone like parcells or phillips etc, goodell would be alll over him,

that only shows how much goodell doesnt keep his word, when he said, head coaches must be held more accountable than players, so as you know what he goodell did to wade wilson, but did he do more to belicheater NO!!!

I hear ya man. The good thing is, the Pats are gonna go away. They are gonna fall hard. I'd say they have an above average season this year but after this one, they won't be near the team they are now. Brady is a good QB so he will keep them above water, but their "dynasty" is over. It is a tarnished dynasty.

Unfortunately, they have all those super bowls so it will be known as the tarnished era.

All we can do is move on and forget about it. The only thing that is honestly going to make everyone happy is an * next their super bowl trophies. I don't think that's gonna happen

They will be held accountable, it will be football fate. They will fall to a laughing stock of football within the next few years.

i agree switzersflask, they are getting old at linebackers, and brady is about 30 now, and he has been hurt some last couple of years, his body is taking a toll on the hits, just like aikman when he turned 30, and wasnt the same player he was in his early years

but to me, if the nfl would really do what they should have done, and maybe specter can find that info, and make goodelll take away another # 1 draft choice, and suspend belicheck the cheater at least 6 games, one more than he suspended wade wilson at least,

then, the partiots will be hit hard, you build through the draft, and when you take away 2 of his the patriots # 1 draft choices, then you cant build and eventually those lost draft choices hurt you,

then we can really see the fall of the patriots;

and then i want the other nfl teams to rub belichecks nose in the ground, and beat him badly and soundly;
then i willl be happy,

i want kraft punished too,
